Quoting: Dangerwalt What does that mean? I looked on the map to see the location of these earthquakes, and what seems to have noticed a triangle shape. in only two days. perhaps this region is experiencing some pressure on the plates? I'm just trying to understand,I hope that nothing happens most serious. Ummmm, any three points form a triangle. not always... And i mean if the location of earthquakes. Just one any.... The first symptom of stupidity is to think that we already know everything... :hollowichigo: |

It was not everywhere but just in some areas. It almost looked like anti-freeze had been pooling on the surface of the water. Quoting: TerrorByte 15766346 It's a Methane Hydrate of some kind : Finally, just looking around with our “alien eye” resulted in one very exciting observation last year: methane hydrates (“methane ice ”), which, at least at the site where we observed them, turned out to be extremely brightly fluorescent, although they were quite inconspicuous under normal lighting conditions (Fig. 5). Methane hydrates, in addition to being a potential energy source, were suggested to have played a critical role in climate change . Our observation may lead to a new approach for mapping them on the seafloor; however, more observations are required to develop a proper technology. It is a chemical compound called a methane hydrate and it is formed it water and, therefore, would not necessarily be odorless. Crude Oil produces about 4% Methane. This is debris from Planet X's destruction of Tiamat. |

So Cal IS due for a large EQ. But I wouldnt worry about the little ones. They let off pressure You are quite condescending with your replies to some on here. Oh and btw, quakes DO NOT release pressure. [link to seismo.berkeley.edu] Common Myths and Misconceptions Can small EQ's relieve stress to prevent large ones? If you look at earthquake statistics in most regions of the world, including California, you will find that for every magnitude 5 earthquake, there are about 10 that have a magnitude of 4, and for each magnitude 4, there are 10 with magnitude 3. Unfortunately, this means there are not enough small earthquakes to relieve enough stress to prevent the large events. In fact, it would take 32 magnitude 5's, 1000 magnitude 4's, or 32,000 magnitude 3's to equal the energy produced in one magnitude 6 event. I think this person is pretending to live in CA because the way they talk and what they say is bs |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 20407286 United States 07/25/2012 08:01 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The smell is probably some combination of methane and hydrogen sulfide. What did you think was causing all the combustion vehicles to spontaneously combust around the country? Oh, you didn't know they were? Well, you're not supposed to notice that. Three houses have exploded in the last 2 days too. Didn't notice that either? Heh, yeah, well, that's apparently the goal. It's mainly hydrogen sulfide that is the most dire problem. Comes from ancient anaerobic bacteria in the waters. The 'dead zones' are the ideal environment for that ancient bacteria, and when the dead zones get big, which they have, then the oceans and seas and lakes start pluming hydrogen sulfide. Deadly, horrible stuff, was once weaponized, by the British in WWI. Quoting: Dangerwalt Lifeguards in Encinitas were first to report the strong, pungent odor at about 5 p.m. The odor was described as a gas-like smell rolling in off the ocean. Soon after, 10News was flooded with calls. Residents from the coast all the way to Rancho Bernardo and 4S Ranch reported experiencing the smell. Some complained of headaches and outdoor activities were canceled. One Del Mar resident who did not want to be identified was inside the library in Cardiff at about 5 p.m. when the gas-like odor filled the entire building with the doors closed. The only other place I know where you can do that is Mission bay I think it is here in SD and Imperial Beach in LA County. I really did not like the way Imperial Beach felt way back 20 years ago when we would have the bon fires back then and I can only assume it is worse now. |
