Our society, a nuclear detonation in such a way would create panick across the globe.

How about the fallout cloud travelling where (winds) and at what velocity?

Would such an explosion also cause an EMP ?

It's likely to be a 10Kt detonation, which means that anyone within a few miles is toast, anyone outside 10=20 miles will be OK, but the radiation cloud is the long term killer. Mostly anyone outside 30=40 miles from the blast zone should be fairly OK as the cloud would have hopefully dissipated to such an extent that exposure will be minimal and no major upturn in cancer rates will be seen. I'm over 75miles from the blast zone, so will OK to a certain extent. We'll only really be able to tell by how much over a period of decades.

Totally dependent on quality of the bomb.

Strangely enough i saw a movie this week on the movie network call "Dirty war" here is the story line.

A creepy film for sure. Why they choose this week to play it i have no idea.But it is well worth the watch.

That really is the most "anal" question ever posed on here.

There is no "SAFE AREA" for a nuclear explosion. You are either in it or not.

The factors that control devastation from a nuclear device would be altitude of detonation, size of detonation, and wind direction.


Being only a few miles from the stadium I will be sure to let you know if it happens.
