"Dad, when I grow up I want to be just like you."
My six year old son told me that a few weeks ago out of the blue. After going through a nasty separation and divorce in which he (around 3 at the time) was exposed to much of the fighting, well it just showed how far things have turned around and how much healing has taken place in relatively short order. I'll never forget how I felt when he said that to me.

Quoting: BOWMAN Children are very resilient. Showing you are always there and that they are your number one priority speaks volumes, even if things don't work out for the parents. I bet when your son said that it lifted a weight off your shoulders, reassuring you that you are doing a good job.
