Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1419030 it is many young women get them it's "trendy" even but those young women grow older and one day feel the life of the badly wanted baby in their wombs and realize rather fast that the other baby was also a baby many women regret the decision women mourn this when they realize it not all, of course but i'm a woman and i know many women and most of the ones who had abortions do carry guilt it's very sad abortion is an industry that takes advantage of naive young women who often don't have the wisdom to really understand what they did until they're older when it's too late i'm glad a judge did this |

WretchedHollywood User ID: 3324945 United States 07/25/2012 10:34 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | In a blow to judicial prudence and common sense a South Dakota federal appeals court ruled 7 - 4 that it was indeed legal to require doctors to tell abortion patients the day before their procedure that they will be at risk for suicide. The warning of suicide that doctors are now forced to give has never been medically or scientifically proven. Because of this, opponents call it nothing but a scare tactic. Quoting: Mordier L'eft The ruling overturned a previous decision made in September 2011 that said the requirement was not within the realms of the law. That decision was in response to a 2005 law which required all abortion practitioners to notify in writing, "all medical risks of the procedure" which allegedly included "risk of suicide." Again, the claim was made without evidence. [link to www.examiner.com] all you 'terians who love your liberty should be shouting from the motherfucking rooftops about how government is too damn big but ya'll are a bunch of hypocrites, only when convenient for YOU actually my stance is quite broad on this issue. on one hand i am against abortion. it saddens me because of the loss of potential for a great life to begin -- unless it's a life-threatening situation, or the result of rape/incest then a woman has every right to decide it. but, on the other hand, i'm a staunch individualist who will never impose my belief system on another : if she wants to, i can't stop her. i posted this mostly because of the topic's infringement on personal rights than any agenda concerning abortion. So worry not, you baby-murderers. This ruling will eventually be reversed (probably as a "backlash" a la the Hegelian dialectic), so you will have your "rights." Too bad the babies don't have any "rights." Have you ever noticed how many feminists and freaks scream about the government "keeping its hands off their bodies," yet those same losers are DEMANDING socialized medicine?! Funny that. |

This is a total and complete crock of propaganda shit! yep. Just a bunch of religitards that want to make people feel guilty. I'm not really FOR abortion, but I would rather a young woman that made a mistake have the option of getting an abortion as apposed to her having to drop out of school/work and live on welfare. I only support abortion in the first trimester before the egg starts to take on human characteristics. Oh, and I have a comment for the right-wing 'Republicans' too. Quit letting the republicans sucker you into thinking that they are anti-abortion. They are playing you for a fool. If they ever outlawed abortion, they would lose their number 1 issue that keeps bringing the sheep to the polls on election year. It is a scam. Become a Libertarian. Bluebird User ID: 730536 United States 07/25/2012 10:59 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Statistics show women who have had abortions have higher rates of suicide compared with women who have given birth, but the sides don't agree that there's a causal link between abortion and suicide. The four dissenting judges said multiple studies cited failed to take into account factors such as pre-existing mental health issues, domestic violence and a young age at the time of pregnancy. [link to abcnews.go.com] Guess some like to think it's just a coincidence. Goes against very natural instinct and intuition and emotion. No way in hell is it anything but a disaster especially for the totally innocent party involved. One of the most important aspects of conspiracy theories is being able to discern when there isn't one. Oh yeah, like you'd understand anyway. Nobody thinks abortions are "trendy". Not even foolish young skanks. They just think the loose sex is trendy. 2.) You can always have another baby. 3.) You won't regret an abortion nearly as much as utterly failing to raise a child because you lack the maturity and financial stability to raise it properly. |

Trust me, no one has to "make" any person with a brain feel guilty about taking the life of a totally innocent. Don't blame that on anybody except the ones doing it. Embryology---get some! It's barbaric! People who can't practice birth control should get themselves permanently neutered instead of killing the only innocent party involved. Bullshit. 1) had a young roommate a couple of years ago. Told me she was taking the abortion pill and said "it's a beautiful thing." Even kept herself on the schedule for work the next day, saying how cool it was. Bitch ended up hemorraging and had to call an ambulance in the middle of the night. 2) YOU CAN'T ALWAYS HAVE ANOTHER BABY. 3) There are other options. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 9014106 Australia 07/25/2012 11:09 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Wow - so they want to put the idea 'now you're at risk of suicide' to the patients THE DAY BEFORE THE PROCEDURE, when they've already decided they are going through with it. Hoping that the women will now be more likely to off themselves, knowing that feelings of guilt are common, and they will be expecting and looking for suicidal thoughts after being told this lie. HOW EVIL!!! |

And suicide is always a risk for anyone who goes through a traumatic experience. And abortion is a traumatic event, both physically and emotionally. Doctors should advise their patients of all potential risks associated with any procedure. |
