US Healthcare - Republicans Conspiring for Class Warfare? If Reforms are Repealed, Would There be Rioting?
Imagine our parents dying in the streets like beggars. I find myself asking more and more, "Could this cause class warfare? Could this situation cause riots?"

Could it be that the Republican party is CONSPIRING to stage class warfare in America?

While boasting some of the best "care" in the world for those in the prime of their lives with good jobs, The United States of America has a huge problem. The poor can't get healthcare at all. The working class pays out the nose. And, if you don't have a good corporate job or are forced to work for peanuts in retail, you won't have insurance. Nor could you afford it with your slim wages.

Meanwhile, the rich are offered expensive preventative care solutions at every turn. From a critically thinking standpoint, this vast class-based difference seems like a recipe for MAJOR disaster.

SO- What happens if the pending health reforms are repealed by Congress after the coming election? (The Republican party has PROMISED this.)

I'm worried about people dying in the street... Many older Baby Boomers are aging into shaky health, and may not have access to the care they need soon. What are they going to do? I don't think young Millennials (currently ages 15-29) will let their parents just quietly die in their homes without getting angry and creating violent situations 1000 times more hairy than Occupy Wall Street... I'm worried about the potential resulting warfare...

Where is this going? Will it lead to unrest? Lashing out? ---Or will it get better? Will people simply accept the status quo?

Supposing Obama's healthcare reforms get repealed, do YOU think that there might be serious civil unrest? Or not? Angry warfare? Would you lash out? What would you do?

Re: US Healthcare - Republicans Conspiring for Class Warfare? If Reforms are Repealed, Would There be Rioting?
There will be few riots, if any. One of the reasons why the super-rich partner with religions to form a right wing, is that religious authorities help the super rich because they keep the poor in line and programmed to accept economic misery in life (and pin their hopes for a decent afterlife).

Religion has been used to control expectations of poor populations since the decline of the Roman empire. Historically, the wealthiest people in Western society team with relifionto oppress, control and exploit the poor. "Religion is the opiate of the masses" is still true tody.

There will only be riots and upheavals if people turn their attention from religion and start demanding more economic power and fairness for the lower classes in the here and now.

The older I get, the more I approve of this system. Because people breed out of control, they will eat up and destroy whatever society they form, if the poor and stupid are empowered to take from others.

It would be a revolution in thought, then, if the poor decided to reclaim religion for purposes that might suit them. ... such as believing that God demands all people have equal access to healthcare... that true spirituality demands equality...

There is some religion that does this, but what it if went viral? Mainstream? :) (My hope!)

Then it could be the solution, not the current problem where people are convinced that their lives are ordered by a creator that serves the rich elite.

I'm curious about your growing approval of this system, though, because the same mechanisms that keep people uneducated and stupid are the same ones that control them for exploitation and refuse to provide care...

It's basically enslavement.

No there is no conspiracy. Political types really are that shortsighted + out of touch with the populace.

The populace will not riot because they accept what they are given even if it is nothing. Then they accept it is "my fault" when someone explains why they can't have it.

...Perhaps the result of the median income of reps elected the Senate and the House of Representatives. I read somewhere that in the Senate it was close to 8 million a year. For the House it was $750,000.

Who, even among the rags-to-riches bunch could be in touch with the working poor with that kind of money?
