Romney is even losing his own state... nobody has ever won the presidency and lost their home states in the history of this country. He is also getting kill in ohio, doesn't have a chance in PA. Apparently you don't understand the electoral college, but I don't see how romney wins. Maybe you could explain his path to victory? Which states will he win giving him the 270 electoral votes to take the presidency? |

Small lead but it is there, the remaining balance of the leads is disconects, and ones we just cant get ahold of. Regardless the ammusing part is its paid for with Dem money, calling registered Dems. We have yet to call republicans, or registered independants. |

If the 2012 presidential election were held today and inside Nexon's MMO Maple Story, President Barack Obama would get a second term. The results come from a web-based poll that was conducted by Nexon among its U.S. Maple Story players between March 23 - 26. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2321240 Around 1,655 players participated in the survey. Of them, 791 said they would vote for President Obama (47.79 percent), 349 indicated they didn't know who any of the candidates were (20.85 percent), 235 picked Ron Paul (14.2 percent), 164 chose Mitt Romney (9.91 percent), 81 liked Rick Santorum (4.89 percent) and 39 went with Newt Gingrich (2.36 percent). Around 40 percent of the participants indentified themselves as women and 49 percent described themselves as politically independent. Around 34 percent identified themselves as being Democrats while 17 percent identified themselves as Republicans. The biggest issue for Maple Story players was unemployment (40 percent), followed by the disparity between the rich and poor (28 percent), social issues (12 percent) and healthcare and terrorism (10 percent each). "This poll was quite a learning experience for us and gave our players a chance to voice their opinions about topics outside the game they love," said Nexon America CEO, Daniel Kim. "Our players represent an important element of the electorate and these results should be interesting to anyone following what younger voters are thinking about and what is important to them." While we think Mr. Kim might be giving this poll a little more importance than it deserves, it is interesting to see how MMO players view politics and issues. Still, 1,665 is a small sample of Maple Story's massive base of U.S. players, which Nexon puts at around 9 million. Dude, this is from an article from fucking March -- during the height of the GOP debates and when the candidates were beating up on each other. If that's the best that you can come up with, Michelle better get her 26 hand-maidens packing her shit up. She's moving her fat ass back to Chicago! . |

If that's the best that you can come up with, Michelle better get her 26 hand-maidens packing her shit up. She's moving her fat ass back to Chicago! . Poll which came yesterday on July 23 2012 President Obama leads Mitt Romney, 49 percent to 43 percent, in a national NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll released Tuesday evening. Among voters in 12 battleground states, Obama led 49 to 41. The horse race numbers show little change from previous NBC/WSJ polls, as seen on HuffPost Pollster: The NBC/WSJ June poll, showed Obama ahead by 3 points nationally, putting the difference between the two polls within the margin of error. What has changed, however, is voters' increasingly negative views of both politicians, in the midst of an increasingly nasty campaign. "Very negative" views of both are now at a record high, with 32 percent holding a "very negative" view of Obama, and 24 percent of Romney. The pollsters who conducted the survey say those numbers represent unusually high dissatisfaction this early into the race. “These are numbers you usually see in October," Republican pollster Bill McInturff told NBC News, saying the change reflected increasing polarization. Many voters credit recent news with souring them on the candidates, with 43 percent saying they'd seen or heard something that made them think less favorably of Romney in the past couple weeks. A nearly identical 44 percent said the same of Obama. Those numbers are considerably worse than in August 2008, when just about a third of voters said new information had given them less favorable views of Obama and John McCain. The NBC News/WSJ poll surveyed 1,000 registered voters by telephone between July 18 and July 22, and had a 3.1 percent margin of error. |

More recent polls TPM2012 Swing-State Poll: Obama Leads By 2 Overall; Up In Ohio, Colorado And Virginia Tom Kludt July 16, 2012, 1:55 PM President Barack Obama holds a slim 2-point lead over Mitt Romney in a composite poll of 12 states, including narrow leads in Ohio, Colorado and Virginia. The latest Purple Strategies poll released Monday shows Obama leading Romney, 48 percent to 46 percent, among a combined sample of likely voters in Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin. The cumulative results show Obama’s lead unchanged from the previous Purple Strategies poll in June, in which Obama also led Romney 48 percent to 46 percent. Among the state-specific samples, Obama leads by 3 points in Ohio, 2 points in Virginia and 1 point in Colorado. Romney leads in Florida, 48 percent to 45 percent. The poll confirms two of the 2012 campaign prevailing truisms: The presidential race will be extremely close, and the outcome may be contingent on voters’ impression of the national economy. From Purple Strategies: Voters’ concerns about the economy continue to loom large, and their outlook is becoming gloomier. Just 28% of voters believe that the economy is getting better, a decline of 8 points from April. Forty-two percent (42%) believe that the economy is getting worse, up 7 points from April. The impact of voters’ perception of the economy on their presidential choice is dramatic. Among those who believe the economy is getting better, 93% support Obama, 4% favor Romney. And among those who say it is getting worse, Romney leads Obama 84% to 7%. Indeed, this question is now more predictive of vote choice than any other question we ask — including partisanship. Each candidate faces his own unique political liability. Obama nurses tepid approval ratings in Ohio, Colorado, Virginia and Florida. His negative 46-49 percent job rating in Ohio is the best of the four states. Romney, meanwhile, continues to be vexed by a personality problem. In Ohio and Colorado, his favorability rating stands at an anemic 37 percent, while at least 50 percent of likely voters in each state have an unfavorable view of Romney. Purple Strategies conducted its poll July 9-13 using automated telephone interviews with a combined sample of 2,412 likely voters in 12 swing states. The margin of error is 1.6 percentage points. |

I have said from the first that Ron Paul was the only republican that had a chance of beating Obama. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 4079433 yep to win the upcoming election against obama romney would have to take MOST of the independent votes not a few not half MOST all you have to do is look at the demographics of the 2008 elections the independent vote is so crucial for republicans and they aren't going to get enough of them while obama sucks, many independents are anti-bailouts, pro transparency and anti-war obama fails on all of this and romney has openly said he wants more war, supports even more spending on our growing police state, and has way too many connections to shady banks (heck, he's having a fundraiser today with barclays, you know, the ones who manipulated the libor rate) obama is going to easily beat romney just as he easily beat mccain romney doesn't offer "change" in a positive direction his "change" is more extreme bushism and that's not what independents want step outside of the glp click of obama haters visit other places on the net and you'll find that while independents largely loathe obama that romney scares the crap out of too many people he's even worse and openly admits it independents will vote stay home and not vote, hold their noses and vote for obama because romney is that awful, or they'll vote 3rd party that's just how it is and how it will play out |
