Olympics Opening Ceremonies NOT LIVE

interesting..I wonder how often they do this over the years.

I don't even know if there a TV channel or a web site to go to see the Opening Ceremonies LIVE. So many unimportant events are broadcast live... why not the Olympics.

It has always been this way. The opening ceremonies are a prime time event - not a competition.

Nobody wins, nobody loses - it is just a show, an extravaganza made for famiy viewing.

There is no reason to be live - nobody would see it the way it was produced to be seen at that hour.

From what I heard ,

They will broadcast it but with a 5 min delay !

I would pay to see it live.

The reason the opening cermony is not live is due to a 5 hour time change. If we are watching it at 8:00p.m. it is actually 1:00a.m. EST

Most of the events will be taped and then aired at a later time.

They use to show it live in the middle of the nite in the USA, like willys wedding

Just saw a comercial on chan 4 NBC and they said...LIVE at 7:30 tonite, but it will be like 5am in england...WTF???
They keep showing updates, implying its the same time there...LOL!! I guess most the sheeple still think the earths flat...
