I'm not off the grid but can make do without power. Wood heat is my main heat already. Also in the outbuildings. Have gravity feed water. Have wood cook stove with water jacket. Propane hot water. Tank kept full all the time, big one. Been thinking about chickens. Are you buying feed or are you doing somthing else. I guess my main concern would be what to do in the winter for them if the feed runs out? Do tell.
