Greenville police are commending an Upstate movie theater group for working together to keep the public safe after a man was spotted acting suspiciously near two movie theaters within days of the theater massacre in Colorado.

A theater employee at the Regal Hollywood 20 theaters on Woodruff Road in Greenville saw a man filming the theater and acting suspiciously Sunday night. The employee told Greenville police that he saw ammunition in the man’s car.

Theater management asked the man to leave the theater. Off-duty officers took pictures of the man and confronted him. They said the man told them he was making a documentary.
