Just for clarification......it is indeed true for a child of God to follow His teachings.


However, Christ said "Deny yourself, take up the cross, and follow Me."


There are people out there who have not yet truly connected with God. They are following some of Christ's teachings......but not Him. They have not yet fully yielded their lives to Him.


Christ said, "Marvel not, you must be born again."......to be born of the Spirit.


A person that turns their life over to Christ is immediately indwelt by the Holy Spirit......and connected with God.


This is the true definition of a child of God......that they have been indwelt by the Holy Spirit (Romans Chp 8)


As such......over time......their love for Christ grows to a point where Christ becomes their first love.


Christ: "He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of Me. (Mt 10: 37)


So to find out if you are truly In-Christ yet.....and connected with Him through the indwelling Holy Spirit.....a person must honestly identity who or what is their first love... at this point in time.

As we grow in Christ-our attempts to live out from the inside holy and pure intentions of our heart-we remove layers of darkness in our own lives. Yes some call it spiritual maturity. Darkness is equated with lies and deception. The more lies and darkness your remove from your heart the more filled with the light of knowledge and wisdom you become. If your heart is dark great is your darkness. Matthew 6:23 Weymouth New Testament
but if your eyesight is bad, your whole body will be dark. If however the very light within you is darkness, how dense must the darkness be! 22 "The eye is the lamp of the body. If then your eyesight is good, your whole body will be well lighted---The eye is the lense of your soul, is the lense covered with dirt and artifacts of dirt-dirt being your misconceptions and mis perceptions of what is true and noble. Christ is your maker. It's best not to deny your maker. And your maker is the son of OUr Lady and the Holy Ghost.

I honestly believe it was mistranslated and incorrectly explained..I believe it is:

I agree..He must come befofre anything and anyone..that is the Love we should feel for Him in my opinion..
He is there..always..

We love our family and friends..but Christ taught us we are to love others..even our enemies.He also taught us that our real family are those that follow the Commandments of God..

and above all we are to Love Him..

He tells us explicitly what to do regarding in two precise moments..which are often overlooked..

That is the problem..the unconscious disconnection from the Will Of God..mostly we live life trying to do our will or thinking we know the will of God and act accodingly..but too often we are not in sintony with the Divine Conscience..and thats when things get all muddled up..

Weymouth New Testament Languages translated can bring out the several layers in the original meaning and that was the intent of the original language. You and I share a common and that is more than one language so we both can appropriate the diversity in translation.

its so easy to become wrapped up in one self..this is the armour we build against the world..but it weighs us down..It takes time and effort to realize this..then starts the healing..when we let go of Self and put others first..as Christ did

we must remind ourselves and never forget..how would Christ behave in said circumstance..or circumstances..

Sure we will probably fall short..but that musnt keep us from trying

The goal of our lives should be the quest for the Kingdom in my view..

to place the Kingdom first

and ourselves last

to do it..everything..for God..even though we may seem foolish in the eyes of the world..it doesnt matter because this world is not something we can find security in..the Kingdom yes..

To sincerely do it for God..

We are imperfect..and too often subject to the attacks of the ego..and also maybe of the darker side of light..but these are simply trials we can overcome through Faith and Prayer..and the Sacraments

The proof is by trying this

Visit a shrine..and feel the inner transformation

Though we may fall ..or maybe tempted..the hand of God is always there to sustain us..if we reach out to Him

Without Him we are nothing

we are all because of Him

Without a supernatural and spiritual view of Life..what is there?

the planet is beautiful..and gratitude is a must

but the planet was Created by God

He is in all nature reflected

everywhere we look is good

every rock..every flower..every blade of grass all is God

to keep this forever present
