Christ is Love

I dont think He would "fit" in ..

He would probably be as then..homeless..penniless..etc..

and thought of as a loser

who is this loser pointing fingers at us?

they would probably say..

not only unexpected..but not seen..?

and what does a thief in the night do?

He takes away your "things"

Yes as a theif in the night, it will be taken from them. Matt 13:14 ‘When you hear what I say,

and their ears cannot hear,

and let me heal them.’...What was for the geese of yore is for the ganders of today. They look for the Anti-Christ they look to science fiction and role playing but they refuse to look for Christ. In the first He returns like a thief in the night

unexpected..unseen..that comes to take away..and can..because one is not prepared..one is sleeping

In the second..he comes as a bridegroom..again..in the night..unseen and unexpected..but He comes with Love to those that have remained..with their "light on" awaiting..being..living His word..

To the ones "asleep" that "dont shine" He shuts them out..and says clearly..I DONT KNOW YOU

Like the thief in the night..that comes to "take away" it happens because one is asleep and unprepared..

The 5 virgins with no oil..also were asleep..and unprepared

in both He comes at night..unexpected..unseen..

to the ones ready awaiting Him..living His word, shining their light..He comes to give..love..the Kingdom

to those asleep..unprepared..not living His word, not shining their light..He comes to "take away"

The 5 without oil..still wanted Him to come..were still hoping He would come..but because there was a delay..had decided to sleep..and not to fill their lamps and shine..

So for them..it was too late..and He said to them..I do not know you

I do not know you..because one is asleep..ones light is not shining..even though one wanted Him to return

He speaks about caring for others:

feeding them

clothing them

housing them

bringing them comfort

caring for them..helping them heal

etc..

that is the light..that is being awake..that is doing the will of the Father

So to believe is obviously not enough..

and to do it..as He says..

You read the book of Job in the bible and you see that humanity may and does suffer hardships. For some many for others just a few. When your heart breaks from whatever may have hurt you, you can ask Christ Jesus to carry your heart for you when you cant carry it anymore all alone. He will if you just ask Him to. What sustained Job can sustain you. Even in Job's deepest grief he trusted that God somehow would carry him through. He gave his hurt to God and God carried him through. Its not so much the journey it is that you see the end even in the journey. Trust and faith that is the end of our journey. This can only be done by individuals -the trust and faith part- but it is so much easier and wonderful when we share the burdens of our hurts with each other. Carry me and I'll carry you but we cant always be there at all times. God on the other hand can carry us through at all times till the journey is end.

If you or a belief form their "own" set of rules and statutes, well that is their own standard of their own rules and statues. Self righteousness that excludes others who do not follow their rules. Now God's rules do not separate others from others. Or a set of rules that divide other sets of rules. Gods righteousness is way above our own sets of rules that would deem one righteous. Righteousness is not about rules, it is about the fundamentals of love respect and honor. In this God has no rules to follow and if we emulated God there would be no rules to break. Love is the precept of love, in love there is no rules to break. Love follows what is light and is right.

Dont let rules be the target of the aim of your soul but rather let the principle of love be the aim of your soul. It is a grace that goes beyond rules for you see God's ways are much higher than or ways.

I don't see things that way. First off, the church is not corrupt. The church is just a business, like McDonalds and WalMart. The church makes money from the congregation by giving them hope of an afterlife, sometimes they help them with problems, give them food if they can't afford it, etc. I don't see this as corrupt. It is not any more corrupt than any other business.

BUT...Jesus, himself, is what is corrupt. You people only listen to a tiny portion of his message. Jesus is a blood sacrifice, but if people don't choose to believe in this crazy story, JESUS tells them they will burn in the fires of hell forever. In other words, you have to believe this story or else. If people find the story to be like earlier pagan myths where people sacrificed their own children to Gods (like Jepthath who sacrificed his daughter to God) then too bad for them. They go to hell because they don't believe in this story of a blood sacrifice.

If you think this message is about LOVE, you need to get out a dictionary. Jesus also demands that people repent of all their sins, go and sin no more. Ever try that one on for size. Not easy, unless you have a egocentric personality and think you are already perfect. In other words, once you actually REPENT of sins like pride, greed, selfishness, arrogance, envy, gluttony, etc., YOU better go and SIN NO MORE. If not, off to hell for you.

Then Jesus tells you that you MUST give up all your possessions to the poor. Does anyone YOU know do this? Well, let's just forget that request and go on to the fact that Jesus says the road is narrow and only a few go to heaven. Broad is the road that people travel to hell. Are you starting to understand the tough road Jesus has his REAL followers traveling on?

Remember that Jesus says that MANY will stand before him and he will say, "Get away from me, evildoers." Off to hell for them. And who were these people that Jesus was talking about? Oh, they spoke prophecy in the name of Jesus and drove out demons and did miracles in his name. Wonder what THEY did wrong?

Starting to get the picture. Well, if you are self-centered and full of pride you STILL think your ticket to heaven is bought and paid for by a simple belief. Think again. Jesus told the pride filled Pharisees (who followed every commandment, by the way) that they were children of Satan. Off to hell for them, and I guess you STILL think you are safe and saved because Jesus is all about love. Tough love, that's for sure.

You people can delude yourself all you want. But if you actually LISTEN to the words of Jesus you would clearly see that getting to heaven isn't some cake walk. It is hard and FEW find the way. You will stand before him, with your face all glowing with love, until he looks at you and says, "Get the hell away from me, evildoer." Maybe you will wonder what you did wrong? Well, take a look at the lives of the Pharisees and you will know now. You can follow all the rules and laws but maybe you hate your enemy. That is enough to send you to hell.

Maybe Jesus didn't come so you could be some pathetic work in progress. Maybe it really isn't about some stupid simple belief, the same kind of belief as a kid who believes in Santa so they get gifts if they are good. Maybe Jesus just came to set the standard and give you the requirements needed to gain entrance into heaven. And in that case....most every one of you fail.
