I've begun watching a made for TV series called "ONCE". It's about a town "Storybrook" Maine where the whole of the township is under an evil curse that makes them forget who they are. They are actually the princes and princesses, royalty, and magic beings of Story Books. But the evil queen, the dark force, has washed away their memories to make them forget who they ARE.

It seems very fitting with the understandings of the Dream of the Dead.
