Timber is a valuable resource, and the logging is not creating usable long term items, it's going in to chips that are being turned in to low grade papers, nappies and low grade timber for homes.

Isnt the home market booming atm... so lots of need there. NOT.

Look, the timber industry has had its day, and the rest of the world has moved on. Re-skill, or value add. The same must eventually occur in our mining industries. It's not sustainable, and pretty stupid when all the jobs are created elsewhere.
