Wow! I never realised so many people could be so cynical! Actually I did but I didn't think they would all write in the same place.

The majority of posters on here are simply ignorant and shoot their mouths off without the slightest consideration for facts.

There is certainly a lot of hidden envy amongst the posts.

But you can't form judgements based on your own life and culture. Americans, for instance, are notorious throughout the world as being insular in their outlook and everything is judged in comparison to their life in the US.

The truth is that many young Pinays DO love older Western men. Many have had relationships with Pinoys which have been disastrous. Many are left to bring up young children on their own and without a hint of financial support for them. Of course, this happens in Western culture too, but in all my world travels have never seen so much of it as in Phils.

However, Phillipine women really are not so interested in age. Age is just a number to them. Also they actually think older Western men to be so much better in looks than younger Philippine men.

It is true that the family is extremely important to Pinays and they will do all they can to preserve that. Many young girls will work very hard to put their younger siblings through school even forfeiting their own education.

To the sceptics here (mostly Americans), it really doesn't matter what the reasons for the fact that a young Philippine women loves this older man are. It doesn't really matter even if she wants his money when he has passed on. In my experience many American women are much the same in that respect. What matters is that he is enjoying the time he has left and he certainly won't be regretting it when he is dead. When that time comes, he will not be lying in his grave despairing about what happened to his money.

From my experience of Philippine women she probably loves him more than any love he would have got from an American. And it is clear that he is happy with his life.
