Anyone offended by the large negative and racist adds at bottom of GLP page

Negative? racist?

Maybe those are things that get triggered by you because you are an American, but it made me laugh with my first impression.

That's alot of financial real estate for Jesse Jackson. This is a business nothing gets that much real estate especially satire.

last week it was a less than glowing "ad" directed at Obama...

this week it has racist undercurrents.

I guess we all have our own agendas and GLP and the site owners are no different and use the site for their own political ends - good, bad or indifferent.

I see little difference in the racist adds and many of the threads allowed on GLP. Any website that held the ethics of not contributing to race hate - would not allow either.

GLP is merely an information zone. Enjoy the good ignore the bad, but be aware of what establishment offers up and what might be the reasoning for it.

I too am very dissapointed with that ad. It forgot to mention how black political organizations also like to shake down businesses to force them to hire more blacks, e.g., Jesse Jackson's Rainbow Coalition and the NFL.

I agree, Natasha - a big zero and, in my opinion, not in good taste! The last two ads aren't as bad as that first one though. More taste could be used to get across some constructive criticism rather than lowering yourself to the object of your hatred's level.

GLP is like an old friend though and, as with all friends, you aren't going to agree with everything they do. The owners have every right to post/say/do whatever they want to. And at least they are addressing a problem that does exist even though the method is questionable to me. And it's no worse than the methods Sharpton, Jackson & the like use! The fault lies on both sides!

I do believe it is an issue that needs to be addressed though but on a more intelligent level than these pictures. Black youth gangs are a real problem! As much as I hate racism to all blacks by some whites I also hate the racism that comes from many blacks towards all whites.

So there may be some truth to some of these pics but they don't apply to all blacks. I've known too many that were hard-working, good people. And I've known the type that they talk about here - the black youth gangs. I went to a mixed high school - got beat up by a large gang of them several times but had many others as friends.

But I still don't understand the mind set that throws them all into the same category when there are just as many trashy, drugged up, criminal whites & illegal aliens in this country. Trash and criminals come in all colors.

My only message to blacks would be to raise your kids up to stay out of the gangs and build a decent life for themselves. But that is a message for all parents and not just blacks. There's an old Spanish proverb that says:

"Living well is your best revenge". So true.

No. They are truthful. Therefore they cannot be racist or offensive. If you are offended by truth, keep drinking until you can ignore it.

I don't understand people who think that Jesse Jackson is "all blacks" as that is a truly racist thing to say.
