How long is a very short time? I've often heard people use a day for a thousand years analogy which comes from the bible. The theory being God created the world in six days and rested the 7th which means at some point during the 6,000 year point God will intervene and/or come back. If we assume this to be true is it closer to the completion of the full 6,000 years closer to the 7th thousand year or more to the beginning? With that in mind you have to look at the Hebrew calander which only puts us in the year 5772 still a little way off from the 6,000 year point. If this is correct (which I don't believe) we could have as little as 27 more years, or possibly 500 or more. Everyone feels it's close, but who knows when considering God's time. As I said earlier we're just along for the ride.
