I think the hieroglyphs were designed as a universal language of visual logic. With the mirrored image, the zig zag lines line up perfectly which produces an image on the overlay. Each type of hieroglyph seems to line up to another producing an image. Meaning hundreds of images could be coded into one wall relief image. Similar to writing 20 different stories over one line of text. A man was doing something similar to Mayan images which produced wierd faces. But this blew my mind! I still am figuring this out.
