Asteroid on collision path with earth
I'll make this quick.

I work for an astronomical society based in South America. At 1200hrs today a massive asteroid was spotted heading on a collision course with Earth. The media are expected to make an announcement in the next 5 hours starting with an address from the President of the United States. This is Genuine. Please take this as a friendly warning to prepare beforehand.

The Scientists over here have predicted that the Asteroid will make impact with Earth at approximately 2200hrs GMT on 2nd August 2012.

There are, ahh.. 204,238,853,123 objects currently on an intersect course with Earth, but not to fear, most of them are billions of years in the future!

The asteroid measures 677 km by 439 km and has a mass of 5.37 x 5320 kg. It has a magnitude of +5.4

Can you show anything to confirm your findings? A lil help here would be great sir, credentials, an orbital diagram, anything...

This is pretty big news to swallow without anything backing it up other than your solemn word, I do feel you're being honest however this needs verification asap.
