Another idiot lottery winner who doesnt understand how to say no to temptation. Should have tossed his idiot son out on his ass.

He's not as bad as David Edwards though, who blew through 42 MILLION dollars in under 5 years but close.

Wish I could be so unlucky as to win the Powerball lottery...

UPDATE:

Since winning the lottery in the Spring of 2010, a lot has happened to Leroy Fick & son Jeff of Auburn, Michigan. The Ficks blew thru their $2 million winnings ($850,000 after taxes), and both ended up in prison. Leroy was sentenced to 45 days in jail for illegally possessing a prescription painkiller in early January of 2012. In October 2011, Leroy’s son Jeff stole a 90-year-old man’s car. Jeff was sentenced to 180 days in jail, and an additional 185 days deferred. Upon his release, he will also serve three years of probation.

Almost a million dollars after taxes and the loser son still doesn't have teeth. A dozen worthless swords and knives but no upper teeth.
Kinda happy they're now broke.

I'm not buying this for one second.

The son knows NOTHING about his father.

When shown the toilet from dad's old house, he was surprised.

Re: Lottery Changed My Life - Most Eligible Bachelor - Leroy Fick
I saw a lottery documentary a couple of years ago on TV. The guy (a winner who had lost everything) said "winning the lottery was like pouring miracle grow on my character flaws". I thought that was a pretty fitting metaphor. Metaphysically/spiritually, I say, "you can't send abundance to a fear-based entity, it will result in calamity". Work on clearing the fear folks, abundance is coming for those that are ready.

Oh, it's real alright.

MORE:

He’s living hand-to-mouth again, and it’s very sad to see how he’s been taken advantage of by his family and other people who swooped in.

“He obviously knows things got way out of hand,” Wilson continued, adding that Fick’s son and daughter were largely responsible for their father’s decline. “They’re not coming back to his house, his son or his daughter. He frankly doesn’t have the money to be getting into trouble again.”

I gotta admit though, I laughed my ass off when the son said the 65 inch TV, Bose surround sound system, and PS3 was an investment that would last both their lifetimes.

I know old money like to make fun of new money but even no money is making fun of them.

These days $1 million is a nice fat nest egg, it doesn't make you rich. You still have to guard it well and it can easily go fast. Building a decent house for yourself? Sure, that's reasonable since a home holds its value and can even increase in a good market. But the rest of it, be wise, don't overspend. Enjoy some comforts, certainly, but don't expect to live the high life.
Her lips were red, her looks were free,
Her locks were yellow as gold:
Her skin was as white as leprosy,
The Night-Mare LIFE-IN-DEATH was she,
Who thicks man's blood with cold.

Exactly!

Stay the same,
never up size the house.

Live the same as you are, only
groceries might be a tad better,
and regular oil changes.

I'm an excellent shopper.
I'm really good on budgets.

If this guy needs help...
I'm honest as the day is long,
and I love to help people
get it together.

Only I'm not for sale...
I work for an honest wage
and you'll have money at
the end of the month.
Having $$ at the end of
the month...makes me happy.

I can't stand someone who
thinks winning money is the
only thing. It's an extra blessing.
That's to be sure...but not the only thing.

The Love of Father God,
health, love of family,
peace of mind are
where it's at for happiness.

I would have moved to hawaii....
Beyond one's own mind there is no dazzling light to come shining in from outside to wake one up. If one recognizes one's own intrinsic State as pure from the beginning and only temporarily obscured by impurities, and if one maintains the presence of this recognition without becoming distracted, then all the impurities dissolve. This is the essence of the Path-namkhai norbu.

Why is there a legend about the descent of Christ into hell? The Teacher addressed the lower strata of the astral world, saying: Why, by cherishing earthly thoughts, bind oneself eternally to Earth? And many revolted in spirit and rose higher.
