Seems to me that most men like to buddy up with other men, unless a woman likes the kinds of things the guy likes. I bet sex is an issue for most guys who are "friends" with a woman.

Yes, I think straight men, truth be told, much prefer the company of other men - just based on what you said: common interests.

No matter what anyone tries to claim today, men and women are STILL inherently different in too many ways to count and will likely always feel more comfortable in the company of their same gender (as just friends).

And there are those people who don't care for either - they much prefer being alone than being with other people.

I personally don't think it's physically/emotionally possible for men to spend any time in the company of a woman without wanting/needing something sexual. It's a shame, really, because it seems the potential is there for bonding and sharing some common interests, but it doesn't seem to happen much, if ever.
