Storage Wars is an American reality television series on the A&E Network that premiered in 2010. The show features auctioneers Dan Dotson and Laura Dotson, as well as auction hunters Dave Hester, Darrell Sheets, Barry Weiss, and the team of Jarrod Schulz and Brandi Passante. When rent is not paid on a storage locker for three months in California, the contents are sold by an auctioneer as a single lot of items. The show follows professional buyers who purchase the contents based only on a five-minute inspection and what they can see only from the door when it is opened. The goal is to turn a profit on the merchandise. Great concept, and the show is entertaining, the only problem being the show is completely fake. And I mean 100% phony...as for Brandi's breasts, the jury's still out on that one. Personally, I suspect they're real and they're spectacular! The show was started by Dan Dotson and his wife, Laura. Dan and Laura Dotson appear in every episode as the auctioneer and his wife. I was a former video editor so I know hoe create awkward moments, dramatic pauses, or tension when it was never really there to begin with. WHen you're aware of this you can spot it when it happens. As for "Storage Wars", of course it is completely fake. I mean, to the point of it being written well beforehand. A and E has a long history of scripting and faking shows and trying to pass them off as reality. THe producers of "Paranormal State" admitted to scripting the shows and faking "evidence" before the investigations ever started. Gene SImmon's "Family Jeweles" was shown to be completely scripted as well, to the point where each and every scenario was written. Of course, all reality is fake but to me this is worse than the shows such as survivor which manipulate and edit the hell out of events. |
