Those $300 horses that the article mentions are usually untrained, unregistered and have poor confirmation that makes them only usable for pets. Show horses are a different level of performance animal. It is like comparing someone who goes swimming at the local water hole 3 times a year to the Olympic champion swimmer.

As to imported horses, all horses in the USA were originally imported.

Almost every horse in the Olympics had to earn a spot just like the human members of the team. Romney's horse had to win a spot on the team as well.

Costs just as much to feed some $300.00 dollar horse as it does for a horse that you want to own. Obama has started up the horse slaughter plants in America. So there goes all the 300 dollar horses and lots more that people will not be able to fed with rising prices of grain and hay. I have always thought that people that cannot afford horses buy them and thrilled when people that can afford to keep a horse buy the and are able to give them good food and medical. Talk about cruelness to horses what about those old slaughter horses being reopened where the tie these horses head to tail and use an electric probe to get them to go up a ramp where they can hear all the other horses screaming in fear and in the throws of death. They haul them in big trucks where they fall down and even little colts go to the slaughter house. As you drive by you can hear the horses in pain and scared.

Horses are the best!, and rich people who abuse there animals like that suck. However there's not a chance in hell I'd vote for Romney or Obammy.
