When your house phone rings, does it show the name and number on the Corner of your T.V?
Just noticed this happening to my television when my house phone rings....The Person's name and number appears on the corner of the T.V..

Now this is strange from Youtube:

Proof: New phone options dont allow for the shut off presidential..

President Obama through executive order has taken control of all methods of communications. The CMAS settings on my phone states - Presidential alert - presidential alerts are always displayed. Don't be surprised if one day your phone starts playing an Obama campaign message...

All you have to do is flash Cyanogenmod, AOKP, MIUI, or one of many other non stock roms that don't have this built in. You can also use QPST to disable the presidential alert for most phones, so either root your phone and flash some AOSP/AOKP rom or follow these directions

That isn't required. The cable box also has a phone jack so it can use certain pay-per-view services. So when the phone rings, the caller ID is transmitted to the cable box as well through the phone line. No need to have the phone service through the cable system, although that is available in some areas.
