Instead of watch the whole video first, I will skip a minute or so into the program and listen to the first sentence or paragraph of what they are saying. Then, I'll skip 5 minutes ahead to see if anything has changed...and so on, and so on. If I get more hype than sensible information on EACH one of those random jumps, then I realize that I am dealing with a sensationalist, as opposed to an informer. This particular video might be informative, and it might even have validity...but, there is more fear in that man's voice than intellect. He's so scattered and focused in his delivery of fear that his information takes a back-seat to the non-stop stress in his voice. Nonetheless...thanks to the OP for making it available. Someone had to do it, and for that, it is appreciated. As far as the actual video itself...listen at your own risk. You might find yourself quite paranoid at the end of the video, as if someone had just attacked your life force with a hammer. |

There are many, many people walking around with NFC, GSM, CDMA, WiFi, GPS, iDEN, WiMax, etc... chips that have faaaar better range than a passive technology like RFID. I'm not sure why people aren't up in arms about this. People driving GM vehicles, you know OnStar still works even if you have not subscribed to the service, right? People with Hyundais, BlueLink remains active as well, regardless of your subscription status. If you truly are afraid, you should get rid of all electronics with the ability to connect (ad-hoc or infrastructure ) to a wired or wireless network and move into a Faraday cage. Huzzah! |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1028551 /thread. Most RFID chips are passive, so 4 ft is pretty optimistic. The drone would have to transmit a signal and wait for a reply from the chip. Even if there was a drone that could do that, it would be long gone before the reply was recieved. Active RFIDs don't last long, the batteries die pretty quick. I'm not too worried about this. They will not chip me. Nobody is gonna' stick anything in me until I make certain there is no chip involved. Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. "America is at that awkward stage. Also RFID can cross communicate with many electronic medium, from RFID to IPAD to Internet to Radio Antenna on the other side of the world. Multi platform systems are the future of technology. You don't even need wires to carry electricity. Its called conductance. |

Reason being, gadgets like phones/cameras/accounts(be they online/mailing list/ip adress/credit-cards/etc) already keep a close enough eye on the individual. Especially now with further production in wifi/internet/phones/etc. I'm sure it will get to that one day(maybe), but I wont live to see it. |
