In argument with friend on facebook about assault weapons - Need help finding video

He is saying the government should have them and the citizens should not, I have been arguing with him for awhile about this. I remember a clip back *its been tons of years* where a guy defending his home up on a balcony during some riots with a assault weapon. He says it has no use for citizens and I have been trying to find that video so I can tell him this guy would disagree with you. Anyone know the incident im talking about and know where I can find this video.
