Spin it however you like Atom boy. The truth of the matter is that we are being slowly and steadily irradiated by airborne particulates from Fukushima. That this would happen was obvious based upon watching the plants blow up and burn.

The real crime is that the nice ocean breeze is still allowed a year later to blow unhampered through uncovered, damaged, highly radioactive buildings. Whipping up and spreading radioactive dust continuously.

The one thing above all others that should be taken from Chernobyl and the lessons that were learned there, is to: -As quickly as possible, isolate the radiation sources from the environment.-This must be done in order to prevent the continuous creation and spread of radioactive airborne particulates. This is the reason that the Russian engineers slammed up that insane steel and concrete house of cards that we call the Sarcophagus. It was not some foolish effort to attempt to bury it, it was done to isolate.

Re: FUKUSHIMA: Genetic mutations from radiation exposure are up to 100 times higher
For a year now we have been tracking mutations in plants and animals.

Verification that others are noticing now as well.
[link to enenews.com]

Many of the types of mutations we are seeing are textbook from what was found around Chernobyl and TMI...interestingly, those were mostly seen around the reactors, not on different continents.

But Fukushima is an entirely different animal.

If you arent paying attention to the plants yet in your area, at first glance things may seem ok...
but they are not.

These are the things to look for:

Conjoined flowers or "twinning" (i have photgraphed up to 8 heads on black eyed susans, a type of daisy, dandelions we have one with 26 heads)
Bifurcation (things with one stem now have 2 or more)
Stem defects...flat and wide instead of skinny
Witches Broom: multiple bifurcations
Flowers growing other flowers out of them or extra petals/etc growing out the top and center.
Plants that appear to have a different plant growing out of them

The EPA has some Chernobyl mutations on their website under "Environmental impacts". Apparently they aren't aware yet that it is happening here, and has been for awhile.

This first started showing up last summer in weeds, mushrooms, fast-growing trees...things that take up alot of water. But now we are getting images of trees, pine trees, seed pods, produce, many types of flowers...and now PRODUCE as well. Dogs and cats showing cleve defects and missing eyes, etc...

It is occurring in the US, Canada, and Europe, but primarily in the Pacific Northwest, California, British Columbia, and Midwest. I have 100's of images that have been sent to me and ultimately get posted on Tumbler for Leuren Moret and Chris Busby, or any researcher who wants/needs them.

Images here, Tumblr: [link to fukushimafacts.tumblr.com]

Facebook: [link to www.facebook.com]

If you notice anything like this please shoot them at the highest resolution possible and email them to christinax4@yahoo.com or FukushimaFacts.com

Include your name for proper credit if the images are used in scientific articles, location, date and if it is PRODUCE include store bought, location grown (if known)

Thank you. The implications for this are quite enormous, obviously.

Yes, from the UK, so no idea if this even effects me, but theres' been no discernible difference in my garden, not that I've looked much. It's all mostly wild grown stuff, various berries, plum tree, flowers/weeds/grass, a ridiculous variety (thank you birdies!). I mean, I haven't exactly paid massive attention, well other than there being waaaaaaaaay less flying insects of all varieties than previous years DESPITE barely cutting/trimming the garden this year. So more garden but less insects. Which to be honest is an incorrect ratio, but probably nothing to do with radiation.

As for how bad this is; no idea who to believe. The one thing I DO believe for certain is though; this will be covered up and ignored by the mass media until it's so obvious they have no choice but to address it.

I can see atom's point, and also the OP's point.

Atom stated, where did you get the "100 times more". That is a good question. to say something is 100x stronger, and to be taken seriously by anyone except gullible people, some hardcore data needs to be showed.

Also, I do a lot of gardening, and my whole life I have noticed mutations in plants, mushrooms, etc. It is much more common than people realize. Now if you think what happened in Japan is going to cause mutations to plants and fungi over here in the US...it is very easy for the mind to trick you, and now you think you are seeing WAYYY more mutations then before.

I am not criticizing the OP, but OP - any praise you on here is fine and dandy, but it won't help you further your case. What WILL help you, is people that are SKEPTICAL of your work, and criticize it with Logic, Intelligence, rationality, and straight forward questioning. That will help you build a better case for your theories in the long run.

I am not doubting your work, or saying it isn't true. What I am saying, is nothing you have showed convinces me whatsoever.

Fukuichi Live Camera currently installed near the Administration Office Building at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Station has been offering real-time images of mainly Unit 1 and 2 since May 31, 2011. In response to the request from viewers and considering the progress of the cover installation for fuel removal at Unit 4, the camera location will be moved to near the Waste Sludge Temporary Storage Facility (on Unit 4 side). Starting from 11:00 AM on August 1 (planned)*, real-time images of Unit 4 side of the station will be provided.

* Images will be unavailable for about an hour from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on August 1 due to the switching.

"The Japanese government will strengthen cooperation with other countries to effectively develop and carry out strategies for nuclear safety, decommissioning and decontamination. It will set up a bilateral commission with each of the governments of the United States, the United Kingdom and other countries

The Japanese government hopes that this will facilitate smooth operation of the decommissioning of the Fukushima I nuclear power station

The Japanese government convened the first commission meeting with the U.S. on July 24 in Tokyo."

At ~12:00 in

Arnold Gundersen, Nuclear Engineer: At Reactor 2… the conclusion is that fine pieces of nuclear fuel have escaped the containment and are lying as a powder on the bottom of the torus room.
At ~14:00 in

Gundersen: The particles escaped the torus… that’s what’s fascinating… these are outside containment… it’s quite clear that the junction between the torus and the dry part of the containment failed.

At ~13:15 in

Arnold Gundersen, Nuclear Engineer: So I think they get to the point where they throw some concrete down on the top of it and come back in 300 years… This is not something I can figure out how one would clean up… 300, 400, 500 years.

If someone can let me know how to host pics on an outside site and link them here, I have pics of some crazy mutations found in my own garden (southern coast of BC Canada).

Hermaphrodite pumpkin blossoms and bifurcated stems (two different varieties, different companies, both certified organic and non-GMO). Strawberries are fucked right up too, never seen anything like them.
