FUKUSHIMA: Genetic mutations from radiation exposure are up to 100 times higher
For a year now we have been tracking mutations in plants and animals.

Verification that others are noticing now as well.
[link to enenews.com]

Many of the types of mutations we are seeing are textbook from what was found around Chernobyl and TMI...interestingly, those were mostly seen around the reactors, not on different continents.

But Fukushima is an entirely different animal.

If you arent paying attention to the plants yet in your area, at first glance things may seem ok...
but they are not.

These are the things to look for:

Conjoined flowers or "twinning" (i have photgraphed up to 8 heads on black eyed susans, a type of daisy, dandelions we have one with 26 heads)
Bifurcation (things with one stem now have 2 or more)
Stem defects...flat and wide instead of skinny
Witches Broom: multiple bifurcations
Flowers growing other flowers out of them or extra petals/etc growing out the top and center.
Plants that appear to have a different plant growing out of them

The EPA has some Chernobyl mutations on their website under "Environmental impacts". Apparently they aren't aware yet that it is happening here, and has been for awhile.

This first started showing up last summer in weeds, mushrooms, fast-growing trees...things that take up alot of water. But now we are getting images of trees, pine trees, seed pods, produce, many types of flowers...and now PRODUCE as well. Dogs and cats showing cleve defects and missing eyes, etc...

It is occurring in the US, Canada, and Europe, but primarily in the Pacific Northwest, California, British Columbia, and Midwest. I have 100's of images that have been sent to me and ultimately get posted on Tumbler for Leuren Moret and Chris Busby, or any researcher who wants/needs them.

Images here, Tumblr: [link to fukushimafacts.tumblr.com]

Facebook: [link to www.facebook.com]

If you notice anything like this please shoot them at the highest resolution possible and email them to [email protected] or FukushimaFacts.com

Include your name for proper credit if the images are used in scientific articles, location, date and if it is PRODUCE include store bought, location grown (if known)

Thank you. The implications for this are quite enormous, obviously.

I looked "for your" Site and need to say
that your opinion is not valid,
(it is valid but only for you and not in a bigger, Worldwide Context)

I could do the same with the Message that Melt-Downs are total
harmless and without any danger for anyone,
but i don;t do it because it is stupid and it is showing not the reality!

Your Thread is the same, it is not relevant for us as a Society because your whole Test is not standing on two Legs!

For example who to you reach the conclusion
that the rate is "100 Times higher"?

What Contamination (Which Isotopes) is responsible and in which Amounts!

etc., etc.!

Here is everything fine and i just spoke with my Father in Law
about our Orange and other Fruit-Trees, more than 30.000
and he do not observed any abnormalities,
i can say the same about the Streetcats!

But also i need to say that it is still to early for genetic Mutations,
as far as i know they need more Reproduction Cycles
before we are able to observe a manifestation of a Cell damage,
it will come for sure but i hope only in insignificant Numbers!!

Is that you Atom-boy? Leopards don't change their spots unless they are in a post-multi meltdown world.

Speaking of leopards,
fallout doesnt occur fluently. Its called "Leopard-spot" and its been widely documented around Chernobyl and other reactor accident/heavy fallout sites. Thats why your fruit trees can look fine while the farm down the street from you is full of mutations.

For a multitude of images: Fukushima Diary for the Japan end of it (im sure youve heard of it), what they are finding there (all new since Fuku) they are finding downwind as well (entire northern hemisphere).

Even my 5 year old neighbor has noticed plant changes.

And by the way, its entirely TOO EARLY for lots of things to be happening from this, but they are...such as:

“Something new in the history of medicine is happening at Fukushima” says physician — 30% of children tested had thyroid lumps — “Now that’s really early, that’s within the first year, that’s unheard of”

[link to fukushimavoice-eng.blogspot.com]

"When the above four studies are tallied in one table, it becomes obvious that the result of the thyroid examinations of children in the “Fukushima Prefecture Health Management Survey” is astonishing. This is because one-third of the children had developed “ cysts.” A “cyst” is a fluid-filled sac. Cysts don’t mean there is an immediate chance of developing thyroid cancer. However, it is apparent that something extraordinary is happening inside the thyroid gland, such as inflammation or changes in cellular properties."

Here's something recent, so far we have preliminary reports from hospital workers, and a few dozen cases in the states which have not yet been substantiated...

[link to enenews.com]

"At a hospital in Fuksuhima where she was working in, 5 babies out of 7 were born with birth defect, Down’s syndrome or lost by miscarriage."

2 Down’s syndrome
1 born with 6 fingers
1 anencephalia
1 miscarriage
2 other infants were 4 months old old at the time. They have been followed over time.

"Speaking in terms of probability, it’s hardly possible this happens in a same hospital. This terrified her. With experts’ knowledge and experiences, it reached the conclusion that this was associated with radiation."

Leuren Moret is working on this as far as birth defects in the states, she recently told me in an email "for every 1 mutation that is visible in a human, there are 10 you don't see"

You made the same mistake for a second, 3., 4. and even
more Times because you miss to see both Side of this Story!

We can see this behavior in many People who talk
about this Disaster in Fukushima,
we/ they are not neutral enough
and this is stupid!

There is No One here who really know, who really
know the basics but all of us want to be right!

For example the Thyroid Story,
what do the People here know about the Relationship
of Radiation, the age of the Children, Hormones, etc?

Why the People do not link to the original Story
and copy the Enenews Article?
(because the Original is coming to a total opposite Opinion
than this one single Doc)

Because it help your own View and your own Opinion
but is this really right?
Doubtful!

and instead of Learning many People spend
their Time to copy Bs.!

A few weeks ago, I purchased some raspberries. As I was eating them, I realized their normally symmetric 'pattern' of 'cells' on the outside were all askew. My brain associated this with fukushima, as this was my immediate thought.

Now I notice a similar anomaly in the netting on the outside of some cantaloupes.

One of the stalks on the last ORGANIC celery I purchased was 'cleaved,' meaning, the growing stalk put out a projection along its margin that is atypical to its normal growth.

***************

This means that staying away from GMO frankenfoods and their ilk is no longer enough, for even the most high quality organic food suppliers cannot avoid this fallout.

In time, will ANY food be safe?

It is unavoidable. Each time a plume crosses our airspace, we have no clue. Gone are the days of running out into the rain with a silly smile. Now when you get caught in it, a part of you will be wishing you could immediately strip off your clothes and 'decontaminate' as best as possible.

Welcome to the Sci-fact era.

Atom Boy, I think they are talking about you here:

"MILES O’BRIEN: [...] After the explosion, there was a big spike in birth defects and thyroid cancer, extremely rare among children. And researchers say there is also a significant drop in the intellect in the region."

Now extrapolate what we know so far many times and account for Tepcos constant worsening assesment, that will give you a ballpark for what we are facing. We won't have data for years in part because peer-review orgs are dragging their feet bigtime publishing data. Its been 25 years since Chernobyl and we still don't know the whole story there.

@ Radchick,

i could say the same about People like you
but i don't because this do not help anyone!

For the People who want to get the whole Thyroid Story
please google for:British scientific journal Scientific Reports,
Fukushima and Thyroid!

Also here:
The scientists re-analyzed the radioactive iodine concentration data taken between April 12-16 last year in the thyroid glands of 62 residents and evacuees in Fukushima Prefecture. Forty-five of the subjects had evacuated from coastal areas around the damaged nuclear plant to Fukushima city, the prefectural capital, while the remaining 17 continued to live in Namie, a town close to the nuclear plant.

During the re-analysis, the researchers evaluated the thyroid gland doses using international standards and took into account up-to-date information, such as the movement of radioactive plumes and dosimetry data immediately following the onset of the nuclear disaster on March 11, 2011.

The previous estimates were based partly on domestic standards of the Nuclear Safety Commission of Japan.

The revised dose estimates exceeded 20 millisieverts in only seven subjects, and were under 10 millisieverts in 70 percent of all subjects.

Thanks.. The effects of the contamination should not be hidden. The actions of tepco, et al, should not be swept under the rug..
They are responsible for many current and future health problems in japan by their non-activation of SPEEDI.. a crime in my eyes.
It is bad enough that the contamination happened.. people were going to be exposed. To be exposed needlessly by the ineptness and inaction of those responsible for the warnings is unconscionable.
Every new health anomaly will be attributed to the 'fiasco at fuku'.. whether tepco likes it or not.
The combination of radioisotopes, to which we are all exposed, is frightening.

You are doing good work.

Eso...

The only safe food right now is that which is grown indoors, where you control the air soil and water...until we know more. There are Aquaponics firms being started in the PNW because of this, and hopefully this willl catch on.

This is also extremely important for cannabis growers to know, as much is grown for medicinal purposes.

Or shop for produce from S. America, which Ive easily found at my local grocers in the midwest. This is of course much much MUCH more important if you have little kids in your household, or are expecting. Fetuses are 1000's of times more suseptible to radiation effects on health.

Re: FUKUSHIMA: Genetic mutations from radiation exposure are up to 100 times higher
ESO...not sure if this helps...great observations btw:

"In molecular biology and genetics, mutations are changes in a genomic sequence: the DNA sequence of a cell's genome or the DNA or RNA sequence of a virus. These random sequences can be defined as sudden and spontaneous changes in the cell. Mutations are caused by radiation, viruses, transposons and mutagenic chemicals, as well as errors that occur during meiosis or DNA replication.[1][2][3] They can also be induced by the organism itself, by cellular processes such as hypermutation.

Mutation can result in several different types of change in sequences; these can either have no effect, alter the product of a gene, or prevent the gene from functioning properly or completely. One study on genetic variations between different species of Drosophila suggests that if a mutation changes a protein produced by a gene, the result is likely to be harmful, with an estimated 70 percent of amino acid polymorphisms having damaging effects, and the remainder being either neutral or weakly beneficial.[4] Due to the damaging effects that mutations can have on genes, organisms have mechanisms such as DNA repair to prevent mutations.[1]"

The fibonacci sequence we see everywhere in nature becomes disrupted. Outwardly something may seem ok at first glance, but upon closer inspection, like your rasberries and cantelopes, one can see something is amiss.
