I dunno, something doesn't seem right about this because he already knows the outcome anyway. This is why I never pray, it seems pointless and never seems like it does anything. Every time I have ever prayed either one of two outcomes would happen whether I liked it or not, the same thing would happen if I didn't pray. It doesn't make any difference.

If the Lord is teaching them a lesson, then why should we interfere by praying for them?


I think its time u start praying for urself. Pls read the sink hole details and see the mess u are in. We will also pray for u.

AC, those are valid questions, seriously. I struggled with these questions for many years. If you are sincerely interested, I will point you to an online teaching about the Sovereignty of God. The teaching is directed to those who have received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, so it will make sense only if you are already a believer in Jesus Christ. Unless you are fully ready for it, you might have to listen to it a few times, as I did, for it to sink in past the preconceived ideas that have permeated society and the Church. As a partial summary, God has chosen, for now, NOT to be in control of all things. He is NOT the source of sickness, disease, catastrophe, etc., and He does NOT even "allow" them per se. God does teach us in those circumstances, but they are NOT from Him.

I too struggled with these questions for many, many years.I became interested/obsessed with religious matters around the age of 16. The thorn in my side always said that something isn't quite right with all of these philosophies. Trust me I studied the KJV, Apophryca, Lost books of the bible,(Easily can be dismissed) Book of Enoch, I own a Strongs Concordance, also a Jehovah Witness bible among many other bibles and exhaustive spiritual texts that I won't bother to mention. After years of trying to figure it out and altering my beliefs, the thought came to me one day," Which Religion is right?". And then just as fast as I thought that, then I thought, "What all of them are wrong?" Which led me to an Atheist website (I was actually a little scared to click on the website thinking that I would repent later} and then.......................It all came crashing down. Everything that I read made perfect sense. I was blown COMPLETELY away All of the years that I spent researching religion was all a waste of time. I giggled like the proverbial schoolgirl for a couple days. Afterwards I was lost until I had a spiritual awakening. Now I know what Jesus, The Buddha and many others through the ages and even today are desperately trying to tell you. Remember what Jesus said, "The kingdom of heaven is at hand." "The whole world will be deceived." Think about it. I have no Ill will toward you. I hope you read this post. What I am telling you changed my life forever. Please take it into consideration.
