the map is just a bunch of circles right? they aren't connected or anything. i don't get it, what's the point of putting a bunch of domain names in circles?

If you click on the About button on that page you can read how he describes the map is set up:

"[...]The Internet map is a bi-dimensional presentation of links between websites on the Internet. Every site is a circle on the map, and its size is determined by website traffic, the larger the amount of traffic, the bigger the circle. Users’ switching between websites forms links, and the stronger the link, the closer the websites tend to arrange themselves to each other.[...]"

The big dot in the center is google, which makes sense as it's the central starting point for most people's internet activity. If you check on the location of godlikeproductions.com and look right up and to the right at the next similar sized, same colored dot you can see another site, apparently held in not high regard by people here, yet thought to have some similarities in subject matter to some others. If you look almost directly in between them you can see nsa.gov.

From the way the person says he set the map up, that seems to imply that the nsa.gov dot is there because it represents a very significant amount of traffic between both GLP and that other site which apparently shall not be named here.

that raises the obvious question, how does he know what traffic is going from NSA to GLP and some other site?
