Sure, the izzies want the US to do their dirty work for them.
That's the deal, the US is the izzies bulletproof vest and kevlar helmet. If they get shot, it's the US that takes most of the damage.
Isnt it quite obvious? Everything is towards goading the US to deal with the izzies' enemies. If it werent for that, none of the other stuff, would have happened.
