I support very small state and local government. But power corrupts. And yeah, welfare should be cut 100%. That is what charity is for. Forcing people into charity is still force. Total freedom and personal responsibility. I believe if you can't cut it then you suffer. I believe in taking home 100% of what i earn. I'm a libertarian i guess. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17361527 That's what we believe. Humans make mistakes and cannot predict the future. Therefore we also have a social responsibility. Individualism and collectivism need not be in conflict; after all, society is a collective of individuals. Individualism and collectivism need to be in balance to have a healthy, functioning society. A fully individualist society would be just as dysfunctional as a fully collectivist society. |

And why is charity not enough, why do you advocate a force to your charity? libertarians... i am glad they exist. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 3940512 i am not one, because i am not a selfish little boy, or a rich industrialist trying to reduce my labor costs. Well marxist, why is the big government the only fair mediator despite how we see big government and corporations being completely in bed with each other today? I KNOW they are bad for me, and if I have a craving for one, I want the freedom to make bad decisions. Freedom is all about bad decisions. We don't want freedom because we want to tow the line. We want freedom so we can do things that others see as "bad decisions" Same for the freedom of speech. We don't want freedom of speech to talk about the weather. We want it to talk about things others see as contraversial. |

I believe in the freedom and liberty of the individual, but never at the expense of others. He who appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. He who can not take care of himself without this law is both, for a wounded man shall say to his assailant if I live I will kill you. If I die you are forgiven, such is the rule of honor. |
