You should let them know so they can record it as a record breaker. The all-time hottest temperature ever recorded in Tulsa is 115 degrees which occurred on August 10, 1936. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1119244 United States 08/01/2012 06:23 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Honey it is hotter than hell here in Tulsa but it didn't hit 121. It was about 112 or something. I live here. Stop being a drama queen and get on with your life. Oops, just checked, it got to 114 in Broken Arrow, right next to Tulsa. I live right near there. The heat index wasn't near 120 either, the humidity is actually lower than usual right now. So once again... get your facts straight! It wasn't 121. It was (and apparently still is) around 114. I am staying indoors myself. |

Oh yeah, like you'd understand anyway. Where are we going and why am I in this handbasket?. . .J. Handy |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 433293 United States 08/01/2012 06:43 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Worth a read. Searing heat in the Heartland: Oklahoma’s hottest day ever? The intense mid-continent heat ridge is presently stalled over Oklahoma and southern Kansas - where it’s also exceptionally dry. On Tuesday, this heat dome or “dome of drought” led to triple digit readings throughout Oklahoma’s entire “mesonet” of 120 weather stations for only the 4th time on record (since 1997). It’s a similar story in Tulsa. The National Weather Service said Tulsa had its hottest all-time average temperature Tuesday and has a chance to match its all-time record high of 115 today The recent round of extreme heat is just a year removed from Oklahoma’s hottest July on record in 2011. That proved to not only be the hottest month in state history, but also the hottest month experienced in any U.S. state since records began in 1895. [link to www.washingtonpost.com] |

In his book, "Between Two Ages," Brzezinski wrote: "The technetronic era involves the gradual appearance of a more controlled society. Such a society would be dominated by an elite, unrestrained by traditional values." MuzzleBreak |
