I have both listened to and read the transcript of the "offending statement", and NOWHERE does he say "CHICK-FILL-A hates gays"! Each sentence begins with "I", and the last time I looked, "I" can make any editorial comment "I" like. And, in answering A DIRECT QUESTION, he gave his OWN opinion that perhaps the reason that America is having such a hard time right now is that we as a Nation have "fallen away" from the traditional values which built this country, such as regular marriage. All he SAID was "I support the traditional view of marriage as being between one man and one woman." That's it. No "gays are going to fry in hell", no "gays should be hunted down and shot".

One thing hidden in the article which WAS correct was the concept that this is a FREE SPEECH issue, although of course the Left has co-opted it and made it an anti-gay issue (probably due to the fact that so many of them fall into that category). I REALLY wish they'd set up a franchise near me - I believe the closest one is in a giant mall about 30 miles away (if they are still there - it's been a good five years or more since I felt the need to drive that far away just to go spend money!) In my closest town, (Molalla, Oregon), the ONLY chain fast food place is McDonald's - they'd have a wide-open market, and people from all around come to Molalla to work and shop because it's one of the largest centrally-located towns in the Valley.
