Employers can’t ask for Facebook logins, under new law in Illinois
Well, duh! AND - It's about time!
Why is Illinois only the third state to do this? How rude is it for any employer to think he can demand your password for your account. What about the privacy of your friends? Employers are not only invading the privacy of you but your unsuspecting friends.
WBBM Chicago radio commented that the original thought was to determine if a potential employee was involved in criminal activity. The station stated that this holds no water since there are many other ways to figure this. Amen! Doesn't Facebook work with the FBI anyway?
