Why is doom always a day away?

Anyone else remember it?

I re-watched the movie last year and i wrote the date down, but now it seems to have disappeared from the movie.

Because i was trying all week to find where i saw this date, and decided that better post it since i could not find it

August 3 is my sister's birthday, lol

She's a bit a narcissist and gets wicked angry if she doesn't get what she was expecting, or heaven forbid anyone forgets

Perhaps my sister is "the nobody?", and she's about to get really mad?

you may be right, that is what they say in the movie, first thing is market sell off if the truth were to be known. May be someone knew it, so all that market trouble yesterday

I wasn't looking for doom myself, I was just looking to see what doom someone else was claiming, is supposed to happen.

Doom will come in it's own time, if it comes in our lifetime...and if not, the only Doom you'll have...is your own personal doom...aka Death.

Now, why does everyone look for doom? Maybe they think it will answer their questions, or validate their thoughts and beliefs in life. Christians want Doom, because they want Jesus. Athiests want Doom, to shut the Religious up. Those who don't know either way what is right, might just want peace and comfort knowing we're all finally in something together and that skin colors, beliefs, and any other dividing mechanism hopefully will no longer exist.

I'm sure everyone has their own reason to why or why not they want "Doom" to happen.

And sadly, as long as there's someone to post a date prediction doom...there will be someone there to believe it.

Just like people are sheep to political parties... people are sheep to Doom Prediction.

could also be that people are just tired of their lives

...and I'd say a lot of that could have to do with what I listed above. I imagine after awhile, you get tired of worrying about where you came from, and trying to explain your points of view to people, and dealing with the things you believe are absolute garbage, that people try to shove down your throat.

The things that divide us, are focused on way more than the similarities we have in life. There's always a way to divide, but never a way to bring together.

A Big life changing, world wide, event that effects everyone, or almost everyone...could kill us all, or make us remember we're all in this together...


...but, I'm sure more people would just pump their fists and proclaim how right they are, even if their correctness was from pure coincidence. You never hear people talking about how they bought lottery tickets and lost...but the moment they win, they're the "big shot" in the room.

I too, have to rethink things I think & say...and am never one to hold something as a sure thing, until it's already occurred...because if I claimed to "know" something, I'd be just as guilty as everyone else.

When you can let go of what you believe is the "sure thing", and open your mind to other points of view, and opinions...is when you can finally start to grasp that we don't KNOW anything.

Sorry for the rant, and it's not exactly tied to the thread...but until we can figure out the basic principal of how we came to be, and why we came to be...the rest is just pure speculation.
