I just heard the U6 report that includes those who have just given up and are no longer receiving unemployment would place the true rate at 15%.

This is no where near where we need it to be to be in any kind of recovery.

Even the 8.3% that they will admit to is an INCREASE in the number of unemployed.

It was the same thing at the great depressin after 1929. It was going up and, down and up. The same thing now and I belive we will se a huge selloff when Europe once falls apart!! The problems with the housing market is still there and there is only needed a little crack in the wall and the whole thing will fall apart!! They have done everything they can , by printing money, but one day it won't help!!

Personally, I don't care about the people with college degrees. The whole "start saving for college when your baby is born" is a total bunch of BS fed to a brainwashed American public. It was part of a big push that began in the 60's to get everyone into college to be brainwashed by the liberal elite. It worked. We have a nation of idiots, and STILL people scrimp and save for "COOOOOLLLEGE."

What is really disturbing, is the men on my street you had real jobs in ball bearing factories, a cabinet store, a woman who was an expert on dairy cattle - all sitting home because they can't find work. The little fresh faced college dahlinks should learn about the real world and realize their batchelors degree in political science or liberal arts or psychology is worth SHIT. They wasted 4 years of their lives.

And shame on employers, for hiring someone with a psychology degree to run a business instead of a person who's actually worked in BUSINESS for 10 years. Employers requirements for degrees have not been "qualifications" -they've been DISCRIMINATION.

Mostly low paying, poverty level jobs. Wow, that's just great news!

yes, the agreed upon "real number" is 15%, I've heard that from many sources.

I've also heard that it could be as high as 30%!
