Homeland Security working with YouTube to Remove Controversial Videos
Why is Homeland Security involved in removing videos? There have been multiple takedowns recently with the United States Department of Homeland Security as one of the claimants. Is this an attempt to silence free speech?

According to Google's own documents, in the past 8 years the censorship requests from the United States were larger than China, but only about 20% of videos were taken down.

How to access and save videos on your computer
(for windows Vista and 7 machines)

Install FLV player from
[link to www.wimpyplayer.com]
or equivalent

Go play a video on a site such as youtube.

Leave the browser page and window OPEN after the video playing has ended or the download time bar has reached 100%

Open your windows explorer (not Internet Explorer!) and TYPE the following into the address bar

C:\Users\[insert your windows username here]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files

(for the advanced - the folder location may be slightly different when using virtualization)

the Temporary Internet folders are hidden so you cannot click browse directly to them. (you can if you use the CMD window and attrib.exe command - for the advanced!)

Look for number-named files of type FLV using the Details list type

copy them to another folder or drive

right click them and select UNBLOCK button where necessary.

You now have a copy of the file that you can rename to
yournamechoicehere.flv
and play on the standalone FLV player.
