Hawking has been spared severe spinal stenosis. Where your brain gets sucked into his spinal chord, (you know, like down the back). He is affected but not so much the cranial sacral fluid is unable to nourish the brain.

He has had the best of care. Inside it is still him no matter what your eyes tell you. He is cognitively functioning at 85% of his highest neural activity. Still purdy good.

He is full-on hybrid, human/grey. He has done so well because he has been propped up his whole life. Great brain, great opportunities. Still there were some costs. I pity him.

Hawking has a voice computer that he has to select choices of letters by blinking his eyes. It takes him alike an hour to type out a sentence, so usually at events where people are allowed to ask questions, they have to give hawking the question ahead of time so that he can have his answer ready.

I still think he is a cyborg time traveling antichrist from the future though, programmed to answer questions is a way that promotes the religion of science.

I tried to read "A Brief History of Time" away back (no pun intended.) I put it aside as science babble.

Also, in the past five years Hawking has spouted new junk science, and has flip-flopped on several concepts, almost faster than Nancy Leider. Not surprising since the posts come from the same "outside the Beltway" agency.
