Prayer request

I've been in a spiritual desert of sorts at times on long commutes, facing temptation on the internet at work extremely isolated (thus some off the wall threads this week)

Any word of scripture might provide me confirmation for where God has me at this time.... so perhaps He will speak through you.

You dont need prayer...ya need a rest and some healthy food.

Stop expecting God to live your life for ya and stop expecting the mumblings of hypocrites to make any sort of difference in your life except what you are experiencing now..a total lack of ability to THINIK for yourself.

If you still HAD that ability..you would have KNOWN that a good rest and some healthy food is all you needed.

Difficulties foster patience. Friction can either grind us down or polish us. Sharing in Christ's sufferings makes us more like Him - it gives us a heart for others likewise enduring unpleasantness. Both Moses and David were trained in the isolated wilderness of mundane drudgery.

I know the children of Israel wandered a desert and even Christ himself did for 40 days of testing and fasting. Thanks for the word. I feel like a lone barley stalk isolated without much encouragement.

Yes I think I catch your drift.... we have Facebook blocked off my network and I'm pretty isolated on social outlets so .... here I am.

Never meant this as a show.... and was about to pitch the whole thread.

God's will be done.... GLP is a dark enough place so I suppose I had seen enough Christian remnant here to hold out such hope of feedback.

Sorry for what you're going through, OP. Life can be hard. Sometimes, the harder it gets, the more we have to give thanks.

For you to have hurt your back helping someone, means you're able to communicate, walk, lift, and help. Many aren't.

For you to have a long communte means you have the stamina to do it, and the opportunity to see the beauty God has given us.

For you to think you have precious little emotional energy for your family means you are a caring, responsible person who values your family. As they surely value you. Hang in there OP. It won't always be this way.

I pray that if it is the will of God that you get thru this hard time. I pray that the heat will go away and that you will be blessed with beautiful comfortable weather. I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior!

Life is but a momentary glimpse of the wonder of this astonishing universe, and it is sad to see so many dreaming it away on spiritual fantasy.

Don't ever be afraid to ask for prayers here. You will get scoffers and mockers, but there are some good people on this site who will gladly pray for you.

Sweet friend, the above is what came to mind for you as well. "come to me, all of you that are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest." When we are at our weakest, the LORD is our strength! HE will carry you, let go and let GOD. Bless you.

That's right, never let anyone hinder you from asking for prayer anywhere.

When you are home, take a warm bath or shower, relax, then get into a quiet place--and pray. Ask the Holy Spirit for guidance. Even if you are just quiet before the Lord and listen, you might hear Him speak.

Confess whatever pain or sin that is overwhelming you right now. But relax, and know that He loves you.

Read His Word--keep your eyes on Him and off the world for awhile.
