Great video. Let's be real clear though, it's military style semi-automatic weapons which have been heavily restricted (not banned) in Australia.

I'm not a firearms owner, have never fired such a weapon and don't particularly like them since I think it's a cowardly way for a grown man to fight. As an anti-rape defence system for women, sure. As an anti-home invasion system for the elderly, definitely. However there is the small problem of self-defence not being a legal excuse for owning a firearm. TPTB in Australia are trying to convince the public that the police will defend them. The police generally don't arrive until 10-30 minutes AFTER a violent crime has been committed. Far too late to be protecting anyone. Police INVESTIGATE crime, they don't PREVENT it.

Note that Australia is not the only country with heavy restrictions on firearms ownership to have seen an increase in weapons-related violence. In the UK handguns are banned and yet there has been a steady increase in crimes committed with them since at least 2005. A lot of good the handgun bans have done in the UK.

When seconds count the police are minutes away.

What I want to know, is where are all those rabid Oztards that have been relentlessly attacking Americans for their rights (on this forum) NOW??
