Is Canada really Independent State?
Since I see many canadians here I wanted to ask something...

I have never been able to really understand how country like Canada is portrayed as independent and yet doesn't have canadian as head of state but rather Queen Elizabeth of Great Britain?

Re: Is Canada really Independent State?
Canadians don have to answer to the Queen for anything. However when you buy property it states the queen owns the land and is providing your with a land lease that is renewable.

That said, while the queen is head of state. The prime minister, an elected canadian citizen is head of the government. In canada the government holds all power to rule, by the queens rule.

Its slightly convoluted, however we are definitely "Freemen".

Honestly, I would think everyone would prefer a Constitutional Monarchy over a Republic State.

Canada's System of Government
Canada is a democratic constitutional monarchy, with a Sovereign as head of State and an elected Prime Minister as head of Government.

Canada has a federal system of parliamentary government: Government responsibilities and functions are shared between federal, provincial and territorial governments.

Federal responsibilities are carried out by the Monarchy and the Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches of Government.

“Her Majesty is now Queen of Canada but she is the Queen of Canada because she is Queen of the United Kingdom. . . It is not a separate office .. it is the sovereign who is recognized as the sovereign of the United Kingdom who is our Sovereign. . .” Hansard. February 3, 1953, page 1566."

No. Canadians pay tribute to the Crown.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17713280

The crown is an inanimate object that is endowed with power by the church. All reference to the CROWN as related to Laws, governments and agencies are corporations that operate under the City of London which is an arm for the CROWN corp.

A little different that what you are suggesting but your nearly correct.

As for HM Queen Elizabeth, the Usurped Queen of the Commonwealth, then Canada owes her allegiance to HM but unfortunately HM is no longer in control, the City is.
