The handicapped son of a dear friend has been located! He is safe!

After reading this this story early yesterday I thought, long shot posting it on GLP, but good effort. But then other members started the information and picture from this thread and posting it on their Facebook, and then quickly after a member who lives near by said that she posted it on her Facebook and 17 other people Liked it or something which exposes to the friends of those 17 people and so on. It was amazing. I think you just can't think bigger than the superficial. You also seem to lack the comprehension that the guy is mentally 10 and has been missing for a while. Not some mentally sane adult that just decided that he had enough and went out to live an independent life. Do you really think that should be the possibility that the friends and family should assume as fact?

Go to the front page and read all of the posted threads, click on every thread and tell the other threads that don't fit that criteria to not post those thread since they are not relevant to this site. I'm sure you do that anyway, since why would you single this one thread out.



Anyway, glad he was found.

Thursday was the 2nd. The original post said he's been missing since the 3rd. That would be Friday.

Maybe she was so tired she got mixed up on the days?

I believe you're correct. I cannot imagine being responsible for a 22 year old 24 hours/day. It must be tough. That's why my heart ached for her...and her precious child. He's a cutie!

I was so tired I slept through the phone calls and text messages. Good grief.

So Glad David is safe and sound.

Tried to read through some of the posts but have not been awake long enough to fully function.

I am going to have some coffee, wake up a bit, talk to Erin and then update everyone here.

I have not talked to Erin yet. She is sleeping. I can however update you using my text messages and emails as well as give you a little background info. The comment will be long.

So the basic gist of things is that David decided to go to his aunts house. She lives in the general area (north west Florida) but not real close. The aunt (Erins sister) is refusing to allow Erin to have contact with David because of the fact that David was able to disappear like that. Erin is not going to argue the point for now. She is exhausted and is simply glad David is alive and well. (she actually fell asleep at the wheel while driving around looking for him and drove off the road)

Background story: Erin comes from a somewhat wealthy family. She herself is not wealthy, in fact very much the opposite. Erin was brutally raped, beaten and left for dead. That was 23 years ago. David is the product of that rape. Her family disowned her when she told them she would not abort nor give up David.

Erin had her share of emotional problems after the rape and abandonment of her family. Her life spiraled out of control. She lived and worked in all the wrong places. Six years later she was walking home from work and was once again raped, beaten and left for dead. Her second son is a product of the second rape. He is 16. He was born with severe emotional issues and will most likely end up doing the same things that created him. He has spent the majority of his life in and out of mental institutions.

The second time made her realize she had to make some changes. She got her life together. Went back to college and met her husband. They have 3 children together. Her husband joined the army and they had what she thought was a good life together. Then she discovered he was cheating on her.

She took the kids and headed back home. Her family still refused to have contact with her. She took her kids and went to her sister where she was told they were not welcome. (that is how David knew where she lived) She ended up where she is now, living in a very bad part of town with 4 of her 5 kids and still trying to finish her nursing degree. While she tries real hard, she will never win a mother of the year award.

David is with her sister. The same sister that refused to help search for David. When Erin asked for her help she was told "I am praying, that's all you will get from me."

Erin and I became friends when her husband and my son were in basic training together. She contacted me Friday night/Saturday morning to tell me David was missing and she didn't know what to do. She was in shock and exhausted.

I live in Florida, but a long long way from Pensacola and all I could do was comfort her and give her some advice as to how to handle things.

David may look like a large, scary adult male but he is actually a really sweet, gullible kid. I felt helpless and could not think of what I could do being so far away. I posted his missing info on my fb page and went about my morning routine like I was in a trance. As I do every morning, I checked GLP. I saw the thread about weather in south Florida and realized there are a lot of people from Florida on here. Maybe some one from north Florida could have seen him, if not then there are a lot of people here that might be willing to say a prayer or would have a few good ideas on what to do in a situation like this. So I posted the thread and karma pinned it in order to make sure as many people as possible would see it.

So that is the background info on Erin and her family as well as why I posted here (on a conspiracy forum) about David being missing.

oh, meant to include this in my last post. It is a statement from Erin.

What great news! Poor baby, I'm sure he's very happy to be home. May he be blessed with a beautiful, safe and very long life. :)

Glad he's ok. But just think about how so many times there isn't that good out come and we just don't know it. All the people suffering.
