Especially in climate science. Did you do a literature review? Is this the commonly held point of view in the scientific community after you did a literature review? Did this idiot scientist even follow the basic rules of data collection? If so what was the research journal and the impact factor of the article? These are all questions you should ask yourself before referencing an article... you just make yourself look like fools to those of us who have asked these questions and done our research. As far as global warming, the science is not for dispute, please read the intergovernmental panel on climate changes report. The science is very basic, I am sure you all understand. If you want to deny anthropogenic induced climate change why don't you argue about the earth's carbon sink strength or the short term fertilization effect of high co2 concentration in atmospheres on certain plants. The greenhouse effect is obvious... why is earth so much warmer than mars? Or the moon? The only debate is to what extent the increased GHG concentration is furthering climate change as compared to other factors such as earth's procession or solar radiation... This is kind of funny. rather than discussing how to deal with a problem, people choose to argue about what is causing it. Does it really-really matter what is causing the droughts? They are quite real and the problems are just beginning. We need to just drop the cause...pointless reason to argue...and start discussing ways of dealing with it efficiently and economically. Here in the east, we have been getting plenty of rain. We really need to consider water retention reservoirs in the midwest to catch the spring rains and then a delivery infrastructure to assure that crops and livestock get the water as needed. I don't really care what is causing it...I will care this fall if I have to spend 5 bucks for a can of corn or bag of dried beans. beef, chicken and pork? Beef should be fine in the short run but next year prob not. Pork is going to take a spike as is chicken. I really don't like what I have to spend to feed myself now...I can only imagine how bad they will gouge the prices for food and blame it on this drought.
