Romneys geopolitical agenda is horrible. He is literally going to start WW3. You guys realize that, right? Zionism is evil.
 Quoting: chris999

It is not just Rom.
Look at what the other guy, Bama, is doing...

M@d Dog Leaders Threaten Humanity

A common thread defines Obama and Netanyahu. Their agenda threatens humanity. Both head modern-day Spartas.

Israel is very much involved in Washington’s war on Syria. At issue is destroying another independent state, murdering thousands, planning more wars, and threatening the entire region and beyond.

Iran is next in line. Saber rattling combines with war by other means. It includes sanctions, subversion, instability, cyberwar, targeted assassinations, other disruptive actions, and relentless scoundrel media vilification and fearmongering.
. . .

On August 2, Haaretz headlined “Ex-Mossad chief said what should be clear to everyone – Israel has never been so close to attacking Iran,”...

( elsewhere)

Traditional two-party politics is about endless wars.
It is ruining our country, and killing our young soldiers.

Put an end to it !

THE RACE IS NOT OVER YET

WASHINGTON—With polls this week showing the race between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney tightening even further, a growing number of political experts have declared this year's election will almost certainly be decided by a small handful of swing corporations.

"While most publicly traded companies are solidly red or blue, there are four or five major corporations that are complete tossups right now, and any one of them could prove decisive come November," said Nate Silver of The New York Times, noting in particular that Procter & Gamble, a traditional bellwether for the country as a whole, remained a "total wildcard." "Both candidates will have to focus almost exclusively on these swing businesses in order to gain the upper hand."

"And given how close this race is, I wouldn't be surprised if the whole thing comes down to undecided executives at Dow Chemical or Disney," Silver continued. "Let's not forget 2000, when Philip Morris International single-handedly put George W. Bush into office."

According to polling data, the president's favorability has fallen steadily among independent-leaning multinationals, a demographic that effectively carried him to victory in 2008.

Americans are good at getting around the solar system.

It's what we do!

But yeah, we need to get to work on that moon colony, or terraforming Mars.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 21360554

Right.
But the other side of my comment is also meaningful.

In recent years, we have mainly seen our Presidents "taking pride" in US acheivements on the Battlefield.

The big question that no one wants to face is:
Can you really call them "acheivements"?
Or does the fact that we were there at all shows some sort of failure in our system?

The Curiousity achievement is far better than that, and something to be truly proud of. Thank goodness for that, at long last !

Maybe we can go back to the notion of JFK, keeping our economy going through space exploration, not by fighting wars spawned by the corrupted imaginations of a War-making cabal.

We can do better - We have done better today. One cheer for that, maybe two.

Pawlenty in Michigan for Romney: 'We'll know soon enough' about V.P.

(CNN) – Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, who's rumored to be among the top contenders for Mitt Romney's running mate, campaigned for the presumptive GOP nominee in Michigan Wednesday and beat back V.P questions.
. . .

Weighing in further, Pawlenty said Romney has a crop of "unbelievably talented wonderful people" to choose from for his vice presidential nominee.

"You've got this tremendous new governor in Nevada Brian Sandoval. If you haven't heard of him, you will. He's terrific. Susanna Martinez in New Mexico, the first Hispanic Republican woman governor in the history of the country. Bobby Jindal in Louisiana, tremendous reformer, outstanding governor and leader. Marco Rubio, the rising star and senator from Florida," Pawlenty said.

He also listed South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Ohio Sen. Rob Portman and House Budget Committee Chair Paul Ryan.

Pawlenty further added a new name to the V.P. speculation, saying Gen. David Petraeus, director of the Central Intelligence Agency, would be a good pick–one day after a spokesman for the CIA shot down reports that Petraeus would consider running for elected office.

=====

How about...
Romney and Obama running on the same ticket, as Rom-Bama - and keeping all the money they raised.
They can flip a coin on election day, and see who gets to be President for the first two years,
and they swap for the second two years. Nothing would change, and less money would be wasted on needless campaigning.

How is the media going to keep a landslide under their hats for 2 1/2 months?

OF COURSE, Nate Silver of the New York Times says it's COMPLETELY BOGUS, but he was SILENT when the NBC poll used the a +16 Dem bias to show Obama leading Florida by +6.

I WONDER WHY????
Could he be an Obama Journo-lister??

HERE's an Issue (Electoral Reform) that ALL independents can agree upon...

Robert Steele is an ex-CIA guy, who makes plenty of sense.
His issue: Electoral reform

"Now we know: Not only can we not count on the Republicans,
we cannot count on the Democrats as well."
One word, two wings, same shit."
"This is the one thing we can agree on..."
"There is nothing wrong with America the Beautiful,

Never been a Republican Nat'l Committee like this

GOP Establishment Fears Ron Paul Upset at the Convention
Republican National Convention just got one billion percent less interesting... Using a mix of charm and procedural hardball, Mitt Romney's campaign and his allies who control the Republican National Committee have ensured that the Texas congressman will neither speak nor be formally nominated at next week's convention. It's a significant victory for Romney, who could have been faced with a raucous rebellion from the Paul crowd if he hadn't extended an early, and diplomatic, olive branch to what's become a key constituency

Re: Rombama : Stop and Think! Vote THIRD party !
RYAN/ Romney ?

The Munich based Sueddeutsche Zeitung gave Romney credit for a solid speech, but summed up its take with its headline: "Romney wants to take America back to the past." The weekly Die Zeit was less polite, wondering in its online election blog: "who the hell has written that speech for Romney?" It gave him only 5 out of 10 possible points for his performance.

But much of the comment was about Ryan. Germany is still trying to figure out who that 42-year-old politician with the college boy look is – and what influence he would have in a potential Romney administration.

The daily Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung stated what many thought: that Paul Ryan is a far better speaker than Romney. Spiegel Online comments in its editorial that Ryan is "more dangerous than Sarah Palin" because his ideas would be a declaration of war on America's social welfare. The Hamburg-based online publication showed concern that Ryan could lead the Republican party more to the right for years to come, even if team Romney-Ryan fails at winning the White House.

'Ryan is the real king'

The business paper Handelsblatt made an even stronger statement, suggesting that once in the White House, the Romney/Ryan administration could become more of a "Ryan/Romney presidency."

It isn't right for me to TELL you how to vote (although a suggestion is a different matter).

But I am curious: What do you think your Voting for either Obama or Romney will achieve?

Many who voted for Obama in the last election, thought they were "voting for change." Did they get what they expected? I think that most will agree that very few promises were kept, and little positive change has occurred.

Why do you think it would be different in 2012?
