Anyone Here Love to Listen to Folk Music?
I have loved it since I first heard Burl Ives, then came the Viet Nam War and the 1960s folk song era, I immediately was drawn to this music. Today I enjoy Mary Black, Enya and Emmylou Harris. The sadder the song the more it draws me within.

Im watching "widget tv" on my mac.

Music box Russia, can't understand a word, but it is most assuredly a Russian folk song. Its so sad, you can tell, then with those pictures of the ice and snow and the grounded boats.

I like Neil Young's acoustic stuff. I think some of it is folk.
Where the eagle glides ascending
There's an ancient river bending
Down the timeless gorge of changes
Where sleeplessness awaits.

52913, so widget tv is worth downloading? I may do that tonight.

And op, I would also recommend Townes Van Zandt and Guy Clark.

Re: Anyone Here Love to Listen to Folk Music?
Wiley,

Check it out. maybe 25 or so stations from around the world. Some better streams than others, BUT it doesn't hang. Music sound always, and it will delay the video.

Classic FM TV from the UK streams like a champ, but the Russian is low bandwidth, but the sound is great.

Different music, I've seen local wrestling shows with kids on Us tv, etc.

I like watching and hearing music from all over etc.

If you want to play/use only one widget open them up.

open the manage file icon in the lower left.

find the widget and drag it onto the desktop

hit f12 to close all the other widgets.

You will have this one or more using the same process on your desktop and it will work while you use the computer.

Re: Anyone Here Love to Listen to Folk Music?
Fairport Convention and Steeleye Span!

This is from Fairport "Rising for the Moon"

Sandy Denny)
I travel over the sea and ride the rolling sky
For that's the way it is, that is my fortune
There are many ears to please, many people's love to try
And every day's begun rising for the moon
There's a heart in every place, there's a tear for each farewell
For that's the way it is, that is my fortune
I'll lure you as the lace that the wayward gypsies sell
With the sinking of the sun, rising of the moon

chorus:
Rising for the moon, the sun has set and it is dark
But the star of the enchanted tune is bright as any spark
The chorus of the dusk regail the evening lark
Whose every day does start rising for the moon

We travel over the sea and ride the rolling sky
For that's the way it is, that is our fortune
There are many ears to please, many people's love to try
And every day's begun rising for the moon
chorus (x2)
