My neighbor,God Bless her, has her husband filling in their groundhog's hole, and refilling in the holes an effort to dissuade the varmint from relocating his new digs by the outer wall of their basement...YES, she is all about co-existence in a effort to main a balance eco system...her words....

My husband would have trapped and killed the thing by now...

It's truly amazing what a man will do the keep the peace in the house...

I know where to get baby pigs too. My friend said her husband gets baby pigs and fills up a truck with baby pigs and sells them. A truck full of baby pigs she said. i'd like to see that.

So what'd you all think of my garden fortress? The deer are always looking in wishing they could jump my 8 foot high fence.

I like your yard. I have the bestest yard. It came with the house. I counted 40 azaelia bushes, I have magnolias too, 8 crepe myrtle trees and about 8 really tall trees and other various bushes and flowers and trees and things I can't name. It has a little glass potting shed that I hung parrots in. It is circled up with rocks on both sides and everything, roses too, is all smashed together randomly and that's not all of it. I have hummingbirds too. :) very cool

There's 4 or 5 pics at the link. 2 of the garden 1 of the gopher hole and 2 of the gopher. It's nothing gory just a dead gopher laying there. Don't be skeered. I don't think you can really even see blood.

It's my glass house and I have collected a few parrots. I have run out of space in my house. This way I entertain the people who mow and stuff.

I think three of them are from oriental trading company if you want your own. A bad party idea.....so what to do with the glass house? I put a tall light up flamingo in there too. They might be suffocated in there, you have a point.

Do they taste good?

Good to get rid of them and fill the hole otherwise a fox may move in next if they are in your area.

There are signs that the previous owners never planned to move away because they did an outrageous job on the yard and made the glass potting shed with deck, they had a rain water colletor set up and stands to grow tomatoes....off the ground....stealth could take a lesson from that.

Moles are tiny gophers are much, much bigger. They're AKA woodchucks, groundhogs, whistle pigs, etc.

No housecat I know of is gonna take down a gopher.
