Ecuador court orders Chevron to pay $19bn | |

The complaint stems from years of unchecked pollution in the Amazon attributed to Texaco, which Chevron acquired in 2001. "Chevron has called the judgment a "product of bribery, fraud", saying it is "illegitimate" and not enforceable " WTF? you have to be kidding...  can't wait for the day when these (and the others) low life parsite rapist pillaging murdering poision vampire motherfuckers face the music (in human form). oh the sweet justice |

The fire was contained, but not extinguished, according to the company. The fire has blazed more than three hours after it erupted at the refinery in a densely populated industrial suburb of San Francisco. Smoke could be seen billowing over the Bay Area and four train stations were shut. A Reuters reporter who lives nearby said he heard some loud bangs and a siren as the fire erupted, but a Chevron spokesman denied reports of an explosion. [link to www.jpost.com] |
