I am really tired of the "Dumb White People" commercials on television.

Well someone should explain this to the Windsors and get the message out to all those fine Black Ladies in the UK and USA. Prince Harry is some prime white beef, and single...what better way for the English Establishment to show their commitment to multi-culturalism than to have a multicultural royal wedding...that's the royals job isn't it? to lead by example..

It's specifically 'White Men.' My husband and I were talking about this the other day. Diaper/cleaning product commercials regularly bash men as well.
I don't think OP is being racist, but I do think that product advertising (as opposed to service advertising) has developed this "All white men are stupid" campaign.

Also, it's not 'Black' people that are doing this. I have a friend who graduated with a degree in advertising a couple of years ago. There are more women (who are ethnically mixed) gaining degrees in advertising than ever before (thank Mad Men).
Also, wikipedia just went down as I was trying to look for the ratio statistics.

They can afford to lose you because with MJ a their spokesman they are booming.

I have another pet peeve: Why do men want a "mancave" in their house? Really- you want a special room to watch sports, drink beer and play games? Grow up already! I cannot understand why a woman would be with a guy that wants a mancave. There don't seem to be many real men around any more.

I've noticed this commercial too. But with this one, it's just people being insecure. So if it were another White couple talking about it no one would have any problems with it. The black couple just so happened to be the ones planning for their kids future. So what? It happens.

But I do see a lot of "dumb whitey" commercials and I think these particular adverts are aimed at non-Whites. Most Whites won't be offended by it because subconsciously they know they've been on top of the world since the crusades. It also could just be the result of living in a White world.

Same could be said for women, Miss Jaded.

I notice this all the time too. A simple Google search brings up some interesting articles on it. Apparently there are 2 reasons for these adverts

1 being that women buy more products than men. and you will notice that all of the adverts with the silly white man are products that women are most likely going to be buying. I'm not sure why exactly this is, but I can only assume that these silly white man ads appeal to women in some way, maybe they still feel that they are oppressed by white men and these ads make them feel less insecure.

Number 2 is as has already been mentioned there are more women getting university educations than ever before and they are getting into high positions in corporations and probably using that power to strike a blow at the "oppressive white man" who they feel has kept them down for so long.

At the end of the day white men are now the only group that is fair game for humiliation and degradation. It's a good thing none of us are insecure about being white and male or we might start rioting over it or something!

So I see. You just don't want to see Black guys in commercials period. Because clearly the mechanics not all Black and the dumb customers are not all white.

OP You have a personal issue with the existence of people who don't look like you.Particularly African people. And that's white there are commercials like the ones you describe. Because the elites understand that the Average Euorpean American has no real critical thinking skills. They know hate and suspision will be your first reaction.

After looking at loads of the adverts it is not hard to see the bias in the media.

I took note of all the adverts and have made sure I will never use any in the future

One other thing, I know a beautiful white model who is almost always the most attractive one who shows up for go-sees, and the Latino, African American, Asian models who are heavier than she is just about always get picked for the work. At this point, it is obviously biased picking, and that is NOT to say there are not gorgeous/talented women of all races. It is an honest observation.

How about the people that watch them? EVERY-ONE OF MY IN-LAWS WATCH THESE! They are from Kansas and Arkansas and they LOVE it. They especially love the HillBilly Hand-Fishing show...I shake my head.

Also when they have any kind of 'science' or 'history' documentary, it's always a black guy narrating.

I'm sitting in my man cave right now! The women have their own cave, its called the whole rest of the house. Usually the man cave exists to give the woman a break from the man. He's whining to watch a game or some movie, woman says, fuck off to your man cave then. Is that really so bad? It goes something like this: "My husband is sooo stupid,why, if he was laying down in a puddle of water he wouldn't have sense enough to turn his head to breathe. They really don't have many on tv, and I've never seen a commercial with Hispanics like they have with blacks telling telling clueless whites about products.
