Since I cannot PM anyone any more, I need prayers. I went to an endocrinologist this past week due to issues with weight and other symptoms, and he did find a small nodule on my thyroid (which the family doctor missed). Any how, he is one of those that are skeptical when one has low normal thyroid levels so I will be going in for a ton of blood work here soon (as soon as I get a rider on my insurance so we don't get slammed with a thousand dollar blood work bill). He wants to rule out other things which of course will delay me in getting any help from thyroid hormone supplementation. I obviously have a diseased thyroid, I also will be going to get an ultra sound on the 11th of september to see what is going on with my thyroid.

This obviously runs in my family, as my mother when she hit her 40's had uncontrollable weight gain. She did not have the help I did as her family doctor blew her off as she had low normal tsh (which obviously was too low for her and I bet she's got nodules too). I am lucky as I have the hcg diet I can do every 8 to 10 weeks to maintain my weight. BTW, my poor mother blew up to over 250 pounds (and she was 5 foot 6 inches at the time)

Any how, I pray that this doctor I am seeing will see it IS my thyroid and that it IS sluggish. Any time one has a growth on the gland it does interfere with the function of that gland!
