For the interest of the world. Plus 2.5 billion is pockect change compared to the trillions and trillions and trillions of dollars that have been wasted by the pentegon.

Trillions and Trillions and Trillions. And thats still not enough trillions.

It cost 5 billion alone for the uniform fuckup we had where we used bad camo we knew was bad simply because of administrative reasons.

We lost twice as much as the entire rover mission to another planet cost on the pattern of our soldiers uniforms. I really think the people that can't see the benefit of space and are that stupid shouldn't breed.

You are a very selfish human that only thinks about NOW, NOW, NOW. What about your kids or your grand kids, or the future of humanity? Learning about mars will help us better our technology and some day might lead to the colonization or the terraform of another planet.

Thats all good and well if Nasa told the truth about many issues in the space program. Again why land in a burnt out crater when you have the face on mars and much better places to look for evidence of past life? So this thing will smell soil, burn it, taste it and all? but what? Buddy if you think we can terraform another planet with know active space vehicle(manned) well it aint going to happen. Nasa wasted money again. My kids need new shoes and a decent education here on earth not on mars.

Talk to the people who have 21 trillion dollars in offshore havens, or the military that spends 100 times the amount you are squabbling over this rover on.

They landed in a crater next to a mountain because the martian strata is exposed for miles up the side of the mountain. It is entirely possible to find some sign of life it exists where they landed and even then they will have a look at a huge cross section of mars' geological history.

Im asking about the NOW,NOW,NOW Nasa blew 2.5 billion to sniff dirt again? im all about sending rover into abandoned ancient pyramids and forts come on!!!!!! and i would love to see the rover sit on the "FACE OF MARS"peace

As U.S. Military heists go, this one is fairly audacious.

Mostly, it helps you systemically. The technology developed to allow this type of program trickles into your every day lives. It keeps the USA technically superior to the rest of the world. If the space program did not exist, the Chinese would know as much as we do, and the upcoming war would be a long drawn out affair. Even with all their thievery, they know we have some pretty significant secret stuff to null out their most modern technology.

Spending these billions keeps you safe in your crib so you have the freedom to badmouth our country. You should be happy OP.

Question:
Should all science research be stopped?

What I'd like to know (but am too lazy to research) is how the thing made it that far anyway? How do you fuel something to get that far?!

With unobtanium1dunno1

I'm sure that is just as well as Never A Straight Answer's Excuse.

They may have also used some swamp gas that escaped the atmosphere for fuel. I hear there is plenty of that to go around.

OH, and don't forget about alien farts.
